Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The official all year around NFL Thread - Superbowl & Offseason

Hatter I think your over/under was off...I think we might be looking at Tebow as the headline starting QB by tax day (April 15th).

Jets have two mediocre quarterbacks and everyone is going nuts...bless the self-indulgent, endlessly hysterical media. I think they have gotten exactly what they wanted out of it so far, although I am only right about that if they never actually throw their quarterback situation up in the air.

Apparently Peyton Manning did not want to sign with SF because Harbaugh will not give up control of the offense; ie: give Manning the freedom to call his own plays whenever he wants to.

Sad when pride keeps two people at the top of their field from being able to work...team ups like that are usually combustive but can produce incredible results for about 2-3 years, and how much more would you expect to get out of Peyton right now?

Ironic that Peyton is still a 'horse" yet remains in the AFC.

Obviously, the current story is either the Saints bounty suspension and Tebow going to New York. I don't think it'll take long for the Jets to overreact and screw their season up by making such a move. I don't think Tebow's positive personality can bring peace to that locker room...

Urlacher thinks the new uniforms will lead to Peppers getting 50 sacks. I don't think quite that many, but I think he'll at least get more holding calls against, and that'll be something.

BTW, Tebow will be starting in New York by week 4. And Sanchez will be starting again by week 8. And neither will be with the team after this season.

I hear Miami wants to draft a QB with their first round pick who only has 12-16 game starts in college. Good luck with that Miami. I wonder what the Bears are going to do with the first round pick.

My hope is that Kuchley falls to 19 (which he won't), or that Floyd falls to 19 (which he DEFINITELY won't). Right now, I'm looking towards somebody like Ingram or one of the OTs (Adams, Reiff, or Martin) if they fall that far. If not, I'd like to see them trade back for a 2nd and 3rd, giving us 2 2nds and 2 3rds (after the hysterically awesome Marshall trade).

As of right now the big rumor in Miami is that they're drafting or planning to draft Tannehill. Who seems to be a pretty down to earth and respectful guy personally from what I've seen in interviews.

I'm thinking Philbin knows what he's doing.

Ireland is an idiot for sure, why hasn't he been fired yet...

Ross I think means well enough as an owner, he just sucks at actually being one. The fact he has incompetents like Ireland doesn't help him either.

Isn't this the truth...

Any thoughts on the draft coming up? According to NFL.com, the first two picks won't be as predictable as they're seeming to be.

Apparently, there's a possibility that the Colts won't be drafting Luck/RG3. They'd be insane not to, but then again... I can't blame them for trying to rebuild the franchise from scratch either.

I don't see there being any alternatives for the Colts, they will take Luck or RG3; you can't rebuild without a QB at the helm, and both are solid prospects for the long term. Unless they truly think someone like Barkley at USC would be more attractive and worth waiting another year for (as let's face it, the Colts are a mess no matter who they draft and it'll take a bit to clean them back up to competitor status since their defense is in the pits and their offense is pretty broken as well), I just don't see them passing on Luck or RG3.

What I find more funny is the Giants owner wanting to end kickoffs and such; what the heck does he want, flag football? And even they do kickoffs.

Even though Special Teams has been part of football since it's origins. It'd be ridiculous to revoke something that have turned around games in the past. While we're at it we might as well rid of punt returns as well. Seems pathetic if you ask me.

interesting picks by Chicago: Alshon Jeffery(2nd round;good complement to Marshall) and Shea Mckellin(1st). Although they probably should have address their offensive line in the first round.

Questionable pick by Seattle for a player with so many off the field issues.

Minnesota trick Cleveland into trading two extra picks for a right to move up 1 pick. Floyd is good fit for Arizona as he compliments Fitzerald.
Pittsburgh got a steal in the first round. SF slightly reach for their 1st round pick.

I was surprised how many teams traded up this year, guess the rookie cap makes people much more willing to move about; you don't have to worry about a $60+ million commitment now, which allows everyone to breathe a bit easier.

And I dunno, there was always an outside chance another team could've traded with the Vikings for #3 to get Richardson, so paying a couple of "junk" picks to move up a spot to ensure the Browns got him isn't the worst of moves, especially if Richardson pans out.

Dunno why the Niners went WR when they have Manningham, Moss, and Crabtree, though I guess he could be insurance in case Moss or Manningham don't play out.

Moss is only signed to a 1 year deal, isn't he? Why not draft a WR to mentor in the meantime.

R.i.P. Junior Seau
That's a shame to hear about.

Moss..mentor? That's actually a pretty funny ideal in itself...

But yeah Moss is signed for a year, Manningham has like 3 I think, and Crabtree has like 2 or so left on his rookie deal I believe.

Meant more of a temporary talent until we rhythm this rookie into the NFL type of ordeal.

Moss as a mentor is a pretty bad idea. Mentorship usually is about how hard working the person mentoring is, not just the experience/talent of the mentor. Michael Jordan has been an awful mentor in the NBA so far because he has previously been a lazy, arrogant person for instance (hopefully putting out the worst team of all time could teach him some things...). Randy Moss is just off of several years of laziness and hurting teams because he has always just been about himself, I would not expect him to be a good mentor. I would much rather have a guy like Hines Ward to teach people how to be a useful wide receiver on the NFL level!

I have never heard the word "lazy" to describe Michael Jordan. Obsessively intense is what I generally hear.
