The Official NFL Thread

The guy's a superb kicker. Still is. Doesn't change the fact that the refs were biased and blind in the snow against the Raiders, in a game which Oakland should have won. Half the games Vinateri came in pretty much saved his team from getting beat. That season, they really weren't that good, as much blessed that their kicker could make Field Goals from their own 45... XD

Crap happens. We're still recovering. That recovery stage doesn't last forever. As I said, at least we're not the Cleveland Clowns. And Dave Wannestadt? Who in the heck is that guy? Worst coach in the history of coaches. He had a pretty solid team built up before he left, then he just mucked up with terrible playcalling.

Against Cleveland, you should have had more.. After all. It IS Cleveland.. XD

If the browns could manage to win something....oh wait. I forgot. Every time a game means anything, Cleveland teams mess up. It's just one of those things. We aren't the heartbreak kids for nothing.

well, here is an interesting thing to think about: How long until Brady Quinn is the starter for Cleveland? I say that, if they can't win their next 2 games, Anderson gets the boot, and Quinn gets the nod.

ok i hope cowboy go 16-0 i think thay will

I think I saw one of the most bull games I've ever seen last night.....

The Bears should not have beaten Philly. And I'm saying this as a Bears fan.

The third quarter, they had more turnovers than they had offensive total yards.

I blame that completely on an offensive line that can't protect a safe and can't block a leaf.

The Defense was good when it needed to be.

Orton played VERY well in the first half, then got beaten down by one of the worst offensive lines outside of St. Louis. I blame one of his picks on the terrible line, and the other was a GREAT defensive play. His two fumbles, one I blame completely on the line, the other on Kevin Jones for either not taking the ball correctly, or not allowing the ball to slide off his chest correctly.

Forte was serviceable.

Ron Turner still needs to learn how to be a viable NFL offensive coordinator. Still, it's good that the Bears are sticking with somebody up there, even if he can't call the correct or not-obvious play 90% of the time.

This game felt similar to the Arizona game from last year. We lose the turnover battle 2-4, lose every statistical category in the game, have the worst third quarter offensively probably in the history of the game, lose TOP, lose our top wideout, our second wideout isn't exactly the smartest player in existence (see his third quarter punt runback for evidence), and we still somehow won the game.

i wish my chargers would remember to show up for the first three quarters of the game, instead of just the fourth...=/

man the dumb steelers won suck

Do you mean: Man, the dumb Steelers won. Suck!

I'm a Redskins fan. We're going to beat the Eagles this week. It'll be a little close, but not as close as the Dallas game.

How do you post twice in a row but not have them get merged together?

The Redskins are going to go far this year. Campbell understands Zorn's offense, Moss and Randle El are doing great, Portis is one of the best RBs in the leauge, and the secondary shut down T.O for most of the game Sunday. On top of that they have one of the easiest schedules in the leauge with having to face the worst NFC division in the NFC West and the worst division in the AFC in the AFC North. The only real though part of their schedule is their own division and the Steelers.

The Cowboys are not going to win out, and they aren't winning the Super Bowl. Want to know why? Two reasons: Wade Phillips and Tony Romo.
Let's look at why they lost to Washington... MBIII had what, like NINE carries? NINE. How do you give a top five back only nine carries. Either Phillips needs to learn to coach or he needs to stop listening to TO. I'm not sure which one. Secondly, Romo, is such an overrated QB it makes me sick. I can probably name 10 (or more) current QBs that would be better than Romo, because he's simply not going to win big games. Teams are going to BLITZ and that O-line, as good as they are, aren't going to hold up forever, and Romo won't be able to handle it.

From a purely objective standpoint (I'm pretty objective... I'm from Oklahoma so I don't have a favorite team... actually my favorite team is St. Louis and.... well.... we all know about that) I think that the TITANS are the best team in the NFL right now, followed very closely by the Giants. Tennessee has a powerful running game with Johnson/White that could punish even the best run defenses. They have Kerry Collins who doesn't make stupid mistakes to turn the ball over, as well as a decent set of receivers that can get the job done on third down. Their defense has proven every week that they have what it takes. All that needs to happen is for Vince Young to not come back. If he does, I hate to say it but Tennessee might even miss the playoffs.
The Giants still look in championship form, and they look to be very consistent. The only thing that could stand in their way is a stout NFC East, and I'm not even sure they can beat the G-men consistently.

we will have to see i think the cowboys have what it takes and btw the Eagles r doing ok but wont make it there QB is ok but to slow and takes his time and it will hurt him .........

Donny Mac? Takes too much time? Really? He runs the West Coast Offense over there. Three steps, then get rid of the ball. He just ran up against the Bears Blitz last week is all. He's still one of the top 5 QBs in the League right now (and probably top 3 with Peyton not being Peyton and Brady out)

1) im a cowboys fan and i agree theyre overrated. BUT they are very good still and i expect them to make some far way maybe even to super bowl. You can say everything you want about the 'boys but until you see it its just your opinion and now for me to be a homer

COWBOYS FTW!
