Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Thursday Update

I just had a look at it and it seems to be only 20 left.

8000 : Pokemon TCG National Championships - Masters Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 24/200 $0.00
8001 : Pokemon TCG National Championships - Senior Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 13/100 $0.00
8002 : Pokemon TCG National Championships - Junior Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 16/100 $0.00

It seems that when you search for events, there are two separate groups fro each age division.

8000 : Pokemon TCG National Championships - Masters Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 24/200 $0.00
8001 : Pokemon TCG National Championships - Senior Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 13/100 $0.00
8002 : Pokemon TCG National Championships - Junior Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 16/100 $0.00

8000 : Pokemon TCG US National Championships - Masters Division Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 206/408 $0.00
8001 : Pokemon TCG US National Championships - Senior Division Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 84/152 $0.00
8002 : Pokemon TCG US National Championships - Junior Division Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 74/152 $0.00

Copied and pasted. These lists seem to be identical except for the "available/maximum seats" numbers. Is one of these lists for people with travel allowances from States/Regionals?

Full badge costs $75, not $60. As of 5 pm Weds, they had less than 50 MAs slots remaining. They will not be making more slots, even IF JRs or SRs dont fill up. Max is max according to Schwimmer in earlier posts. MAs will be capped at 512.

Keith

I had no idea, I thought they could/would transfer over seats.

Question:

1) I won a badge at States, filled out the paperwork.
2) Won a badge at Regs, filled out the paperwork to transfer my badge.

The question is: Does the person to whom I've transfered my badge need to do any sort of registration for the main event, or is he already in?

Thanks in advance.
We're hoping they do. I think they do because the badge came with a reserved seat at nationals.

Can anybody answer my question?

Look above .....they did! 13 in SRs, 16 in JRs.

1000+ Poke players FTW!

As for my info earlier, that was what the Origins folks told a MA in line that I had getting reg'd yesterday approx. 5 pm local time.

8000 : Pokemon TCG National Championships - Masters Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 12/200 $0.00
8001 : Pokemon TCG National Championships - Senior Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 9/100 $0.00

8002 : Pokemon TCG US National Championships - Junior Division Sat 9:00am Sat 9:00am 74/152 $0.00

200+100+100+408+152+152 = 1112 maximum seats
12+9+13+206+84+74 = 398 seats available

1112-398 = 714 seats taken

When did the website stop calculating the number of seats available? Because there's a big difference between 714 and 1000. Where are you getting this 1000 number from, Keith? Are you getting it from the POP staff there?

For an official response, you need to contact PUI. Email addresses and phone numbers can be found at Go-Pokemon.Com - Contact Us

Good luck! Go No. VA!

Wow. We were planning on leaving on thursday but we wouldn't arrive til after the registration closed so our only option was to get up early on Friday. But i guess we wont make it. I cant imagine if we were to actually drive there for nothing....

Well I can't imagine if all the people who already have their flights booked/cars ready to drive/ hotel rooms booked/badges paid for but missed the Preregistration cutoff, and then couldn't get in to play.... I just can't see that happening. It would be a nightmare if they weren't allowed to play. We have people going (including my son) that have it all booked and paid for but can't leave until Friday, getting there Friday night. It can't possibly mean that they won't be able to play. That would be way too messed up, I can't believe that PUI would do that to so many people.

And I believe for the contact number, some of my people that tried to contact them got the 'we won't be in the office until July 3rd' response...

Is there any way to know the exact number of spots left as of this time. My family lives 6-8 hours from the convention center and it would be absurd to drive there only to be told there are no more spots. The even more tragic part of these circumstances is that usually 20-30 percent of the participants drop after the first couple of rounds, Dedicatred players miss out of this great opportunity

*salute* Representing Virginia. (Are you in the area?)

I went ahead and sent an email their way, but I've already received a few comments saying that we should both be fine. The third member of my party probably won't be able to play, though, since we get there Friday and, as far as I know, you have to be at the convention center to pre-register for the tournament (and by that time all the seats will be full - we're all in Masters).

I just registered on the Origins website a couple of minutes ago. Does that mean I'm in for sure other then turning in my decklist on Saturday?

LOL.

I just emailed OP with a question and got this:

Several of our Customer Service representatives are out of the office the week of June 23 - June 27.

During this time, please allow extra time for us to respond to your inquiry. We expect all emails received during this time to be resolved no later than July 3rd.

This would be seriously funny if it weren't so serious. ;p

Well hopefully someone of authority will let us know soon... we're in the same boat. We're a 7 to 8 hours drive away, the Origins badges already paid for, hotel room already paid for, but can't arrive until Friday night. (a lot of parents still have to work and can't just take days off to get there a day early) What does this mean? I'll have some very angry parents who are driving there if they won't be able to get in, especially after spending all that money and time getting there. I can't believe it could happen that way, there's got to be a better system. If it's open to the public and there's enough room, everyone should be able to enter.

Besides my own son, I've got some really anxious parents from our group wanting to know what's the deal... and I'm at a loss as to what to tell them. >.<

if you won a badge at state/regionals and you sent in all of your paper work in time, you're already registered for Nationals, correct?

Um why isn't Pokemon National Championship showing up on the Origins website? You know where it says how many spots are left.

really wish they had a list of signed up players, I'm pretty positive i mailed in everything, but it would be nice to make sure... x_x
