This movie is simply explosive and the most fun you could have at the movies this year. It does not matter who you are, this movie will blow you away. Definitely recommended and in Columbus it has sold out at all theaters so far... it is that good and anticipated.

Harry Potter 6 probably will be better popular wise but I have to agree that Transformers looks amazing! I am however looking forward to Harry Potter.

Harry Potter looks good, but after seeing this movie twice already, I can not see Harry beng more fun to watch... I mean honestly Transformers was a spectacle in its own league...

I didn't mean it that way, I meant popular as in how many people see it and yes I have to say it does look spectacular but so does Harry Potter 6 to a point.

I disagree.

I much preferred Star Trek.

Don't get me wrong, Transformers 2 is a good movie. But for being 150 minutes long, it wasn't as epically mind blowing as I would have expected. It was a good movie, yes. There was some really awesome robot fights, yes. But it wasn't OMG WOW.

Now I disagree with that. Star Trek I didn't think was that good compared and also thought Transformers will be better. I think Harry Potter will be great too though.

Meh......it's a typical Michael bay movie. I like explosions, so I liked the movie, but i'll go elsewhere if i'm looking for something resembling a cohesive plot.

About twenty minutes into the movie I began to get the impression that they spent 99% of their budget on the CGI and the other one percent developing a script. I was rubbed the wrong way when Megatron was conversing with The Fallen in ENGLISH, inside a space ship orbiting above earth. I'd assume that a race this advanced would have it's own dialect to communicate in. However, I have to say that I was entertained through out this movie thanks to it's awesome CGI. I think it should have been half of an hour shorter, but I'm happy about getting 2.5 hours of million-dollar CGI for $7.50- I say go see it, but try to avoid focusing on it's dialogue.

This is a phenomenal summer blockbuster! Michael Bay knows what he is doing and does it best. Plot is second to action in blockbusters. If you want boring substance see There Will be Blood.

Wait, what? How can you even compare THERE WILL BE BLOOD, and TRANSFORMERS? I'm a little taken aback by that.

Anyway, I didn't have any problem with the first TRANSFORMERS, but I'm not so keen to see this one after all the negative reviews I've heard (not to mention the blatant racism that's said to be strewn throughout). I'll probably wait for the DVD.

THIS!

I really enjoyed the movie overall, but the script seriously seems like it was made for stupid people who don't watch enough movies to know what a good plot is. Plus, the really freaking HOOGE robot was a disappointment: all he did was suck up sand and rocks.

But still, good movie. The original was better.

Oh come on... Really?!

My mockery of critics is why I compared There Will be Blood and Tformers. Clearly they are not comparable but I am saying if you want some daft scripting and plot go see the oscar winner... Transformers is an entertainment spectactle that nearly everyone can enjoy. The movie just broke more box office records and people that have seen it that are not 60 year old lame duck critics have thoroughly enjoyed it. Do not be so ignorant when it comes to believing critics and the racism was done by a black voice actor who was in charge of taking the character in the direction he wanted.

Enjoy

It was a great 1/2 of a movie. Every scene without giant robots was almost unbearably bad, and the new "roommate" character was incomprehensible except to make the main idiot look more rugged.

There was no racism, remember one of the things the transformers learn how to act on earth is radio, and the two tformers who acted black probably just heard it on the radio. Or I could be wrong and it could be racism....either way I thought it was funny.

I've read reviews who say the opposite of what you say. I'd have to agree with the reviews. I heard on the radio from a critic who said he had no idea who their target group is. IMO one movie was good enough, the movie looks horrible.

I thought it was great. I just didn't go into it expecting to see an Academy Award winner. Just plain simple entertainment and that is what I got.

Personally, I thought that Star Trek and this are the two best movies that I have seen this year. Now who knows if that will hold true when G.I.Joe comes out in August. ; )
