Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

TRUK Engine

^ Agrees. Normally each deck has it's own engine (eception of the Holon engine as that was completely broken to the point where people relied on it for everything and are still crying about it even after the rotation). For example, if your deck finds energies easy through attacks or powers, you aren't likely to stick in 3 Stone's project. It depends on what your pokes do.

If everyone wanna be copycat, then this game wouldnt be as good.

then it's a good thing our metagame never has mirror matches . . . oh wait a minute:

04-05: Blaziken
05-06: Rock-Lock
06-07: Storm! 06 aka LBS for the n00bs who don't know the REAL name
07-08: Blissey and/or lucario varients

yup, no one EVER copies a deck!

Ummm Storm was 05-06. If you played it last year you were cheating again KG!! I think I will have to tell Pokemon No Baka about this.

It doesn't matter if someone actually spoils the TRUK engine or not. It could easily not be true, and at this point, no one would know the TRUK engine if it slapped them in the face or came strait from a starter deck. Besides, if people took the time to do what the truck inventors did (that is experiment with loads of trainer combinations 'til they found one that was superior) then it wouldn't matter and everyone wouldn't be scrounging for TRUK spoilers.

everyone is under the "Can't beat em? join em!" philosophy. It doesn't have to be that. My brother and i ran delta without castform or the holon engine and went 4-1 both of us at cities. Just find somehting that works.

Who were the people that got defeated by the TRUK engine at the Battle Roads. If we could talk to them, they'd have some answers.

stop worrying about what is in a truk deck! If you want to beat truk build a deck with good matches against it!

my god that was possibly one of the worst logical posts i've ever seen! or should i say, illogical.

how can you build a deck with good matches against something that you don't know whats in it? okay, i may a deck called BOBOOO. go on, make a deck with good matches against it :nonono:.

[i hate hurricane:thumb:]

HAH! Niice, man that'd be remotely playable if you didn't shuffle after the balls...nah even then it wouldn't be that good.

Cosmos--->Dusk/Master Ball

I would say that would be remotely playable, although I doubt it would be so gamebreaking.(or else everybody would know it.)

not really you know that blissey is in the deck if you read around the gym so run something to counter it (lucario or Mismagius to name a couple)

my believe that the truk engine is the following:

*celio's (or bebe' if that's the better play for you)
*castaway
*quick ball
*great ball
*pokedex handy 901is (D/P)
*tv reporter, steve's advice, bill's maintenance, heck maybe even rowan's, birch, oak. Which ever fits your deck best.
*TGW (just cause it's so good, but not really part of the engine unless your playing a disruption deck)
*and 1 mentor or pokemon fan club, just so you can grab it with castaway in case you can't any basics or great ball

i've played tested with this and it makes deck so consistent, decks like Empoleon/Lucario, Empoleon variants, Lucario variants, Kricketune, Blissey, etc. If you add night maintenance it helps you recover your pokemon quickly if you can't afford a TSD, or simply like NM because it recovers NRG as well.

If it's not, oh well this works for me. The thing I don't get is where they get TRUK from, and I believe that is what is throwing people off as well. Some may think it's an acronym, when it might just be a fancy name for that engine. IDK those are just two cents.

1st off, please stop quoting long posts in their entirety...it's stretching out a post with no substance.

I do not get why people have to complain about netdecking. God forbid that I reference a blissvire list, so that I can spend more time getting to test and get comfortable with it, perhaps change the cards to suit my metagame instead of hurting my head to make a trainer engine from scratch.

NOT everybody has a team with players that regularly T16 worlds or whatever.

If, and if, people do netdeck completely, then fine. The benefits of showing a list outweighs keep your cards close to your chest.
Alright, go back to your argument, I'm done with my little rant.

The TRUK engine can either run blisscatty or blissvire. If you go to more tournaments and you see more people playing them, then we can get some more scoop on whats in the deck exactly.

Seriously, if you want to know the engine so bad, do this. So, who lost to them? What trainers did you see?

Those are only two of the MANY TRUKs. It's not like the only TRUKS are Moving TRUK and Pickup TRUK.

I dunno, I find it funny that truk really hasn't accomplished that much compared to our other high end players and he gets an entire engine named after him. What's next, the Chuck engine?
