Are you serious????
That is complete Abuse buddy. Now unless you do it soooo softly where NO marks are shown then perhaps it is NOT abuse, but most likely there will be a mark. DFS would so take your child if they see marks on them and such. man if you don't know how to operates here in United States then you are dense...Sorry to say!!!! It is funny really...We make the kids "wussies" but when they are 18, we expect them to be brave and courageuos so they fight meaningless wars and lose there lives for a dictator. Thia country is Messed up!!!!

I agree with Chromecatz on this...This should be locked because this is sort of a joke in a way.

My parents never abused me and I resent the fact that you implied they did. You obviously have no idea what real abuse is. I'm thankful for the discipline my parents taught me. Otherwise, I'd have ended up acting like a spoiled brat, like, well, you.

No, you're a Nintendo brat.

Agreed, sometimes a belt/switch/paddle is the only thing a kid can understand.

Did I ever suggest that fighting was the *first* option?

If it looks like I ever suggested that you personally said that, then I wasn't being clear enough, and for that much I apologize. However, reading some of the... less mature posters' opinions on the matter, you cannot deny that they see fighting as the first and only option to solving problems.

5 years is MORE than enough time for peaceful conflict resolution to run its course, especially for kids.

Not if you don't get anything done about it. You act like I've never been on the receiving end of bullying. I have been, for years at a stretch. You know how it ended? Having the people in authority (teachers, faculty, etc) actually notice this and do something about it. Blame lazy/apathetic authority figures for letting bullying go unpunished, but unless the bullying involves physical violence, responding to it with physical violence is wrong.

I forget she argues with EVERYONE!!!!

Wrong. I only argue with most people.

this is from my own experiences i got in a fight with a bully once and beat the crap out of him at school then beat him up for no reason a the park
