Alrighty, details on the Falkirk Prereleases. The times of the Sundays I'm not sure about yet, as Chalkey does have to work on Sunday afternoons. If its like what it was last time, it's be 12midday-3pm for the PR and regular league from 10am - midday at the same venue (Sundays only) for all interested. :thumb:

The Guru will be judging most of them and possibly play in one of them. As always, Chalkey (Gordon White) will TO the events. Hope to see you guys there!

D'you guys think that these prize structure changes will be worthwhile? Any idea on what these Japanese Promotional items are/will be?

Oh, Ben, I can now confirm that the Saturday Falkirk Prereleases will start at 11am and finish around 2pm, and the Sunday Falkirk Prereleases will start at 12pm and finish around 3pm. Cheers, mate.
 
Pokeguru, I rather suspect the first "surprise" promotional item from Japan is gonna be a deck box! Just call it an educated guess! :wink:
 
Educated guess...either you've spoken to Carl or you've got the items we're getting already...either way, you are way too lucky; I find it difficult to communicate with TPfG in any case, plus I get NO Japanese stuff. Curse my lack of Japanese items. :biggrin:

Well, with that "educated guess", we can probably confirm it'll be 2 boosters + Japanese item...

To be honest, I'm sure a fair few more players here would prefer boosters to the japanese items; I certainly know Gordon ain't too happy about it...I think he's been in contact with Carl about it, but what they say at TPfG goes, I guess.

As well as the standard £15 for 1 day option, there will be the return of the weekend ticket for both weekends, which pays for entry to both prereleases, plus prerelease promo, pin and all that jazz. The weekend ticket will cost £25 and is certainly a good deal if going up to Falkirk for a weekend.

Do remember, however, that the weekend ticket only applies for 1 full weekend, so you can't go on 1 day one weekend and 1 day the other and call that a weekend ticket. You have to use it one both days one weekend or both days the other. Everyone understand? Good.

Yeah, I agree 'guru, most of my players will also prefer the boosters! The reason they are dropping the two boosters is that retailers, right across the world, have been complaining about falling profits/margins. If too many boosters are given away then your average punter spends less on buying the boosters at full retail price. If you take 2 boosters x the amount of players that will attend the prereleases across the world, that's a hell of a lot of product! I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, just that that's the way it's viewed commercially!
