Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UK EX EMERALD pre-release dates

hopefully . it depends upon how many customers have funds for a side draft. or the unlikely possibility that I have so many attendees that I run out of product!

bring a modified deck and I can run an 8 player KO. don't include EX EMERALD cards though as they aren't yet tournament legal for modified.

oooh yeah! an 8 player KO would be very cool. definitely up for that. in another post someones asking about stadium challenges- do u know if we're getting one ian?

yes I'm planning on running something: possibly on Sat 4th June.

I'll use the flights system as before. This will allow changes to your deck between each 8 player flight and maximises the number of matches played.

This thread says Crawley starts at 10:45 tomorrow. One link on TPFG says it starts at "100", and another says 10:30. Which one is it?

They are on sale at Borders according to one league member (he went through what he pulled and hadn't visisted any prereleases) so are they now legal?

Thanks

well, the official release date isn't till monday. borders are selling them early by the looks of things and that will probably be frowned apon if TPfG or POP find out. :nonono:

don't use emerald cards in your real decks till monday, unless they are cards that've been previously printed (i.e. Lanette's Net Search, Rare Candy, etc.). the cards should not be sold/used until monday when they become officially legal.

of course, the cards will be legal at the prerelease tourneys (duh...)

Side events planned for Bournemouth Pre-Release tomorrow.

Of course there is also the Pre-Release tournament with plenty of product for all those that want to come.

Doors open at 10:00 for side events

Pre-release to start about 11:00

Cost £15

Venue:
Purbeck Suite
Highcliff Marriott Hotel
St Michaels Road
Bournemouth

Everyone is welcome

the final falkirk ex emerald prereleases this weekend went swimmingly.

a controversial 3rd match on saturday resulted in a rematch between the people who came overall 1st and 2nd in the tournament. the eventual winner, getting several emerald boosters was Chalkey. for once, his TO-ing duties were passed on to fellow league player, John Fotheringham.

several new players attended the sunday prerelease, but in the end, the victor was Cole Bendall, a shock victory as he went undefeated with a deck that HE thought was terrible. he also took advantage of the special falkirk offer: pay double, win double. so, overall, he earned throughtout the day an entire box of cards, then commented on his amazing victory on the PokeGym (yes it is me, and yes, that report was biased, but i don't care; i won it as well as the poster thats's bigger than my body).

so our winners throughout the events were:

Sat 30th April: Alison White
Sun 1st May: Alistair Fotheringham
Sat 7th May: Gordon White (Chalkey)
Sat 8th May: Cole Bendall (PokeGuru)

thanks to all who attended. next stop: states!

Hi guys and gals, I've been too busy going too and from hospital this last week to properly report the 39 players that attended the Gamers Guild Tuesday Night TCG Club Preview Tourney last week now!

Anyhow sick Mother in Law aside we're pleased to report the best attended Pre-release in the UK and that we're doing it all again this Tuesday Night coming and we'll be posting info here to keep it all in one place :)

Watch out for Pokemon World for reviews of what we're doing in the UK Leagues and for the low down on the pre-releases and state championships.

And don't forget Tuesday Night is the new night for TCG Madness and Mayhem in MEDWAY :)

Sorry to hear about the illness in your family, Ben; best wishes for her quick recovery...

Thanks MOM :)

She has been into and out of Intensive Care more times than Pikachu has thundershocked Team Rocket!

Guess she wants to keep us all on our toes

So for tomorrows pre-release after the release tourney I will be the tired looking one in the corner :)

Best wishes 'pro from our family. Hope she recovers speedily.

25 people attended our 2nd prerelease, add that to our 12 from the Bank Holiday weekend event and that makes 37 attendees overall BREAKING our support package of 2 x 18 players.

Props to indigomaster33 on his last days of the UK visit who helped out with many of the new players. Two unheard of players in the finals, the event was won BY A GIRL OMG SHOCK HORROR!!!!one111 ^_^ j/k Kerri Cooper from Brighton walked away w/ top prizes of boosters and that HUGE Rayquaza Poster.

Everyone who didn't make T8 walked away w/ a choice of Torchic, Pikachu, Mudkip or Treecko plushie - great spotting by me the day before at my local Woolworths, was funny buying 16 plush and having to explain all to the till staff ^_^

Well done to all the parents who allowed their kids to come to the event and stay till 5pm - a 7 hour event, w00t! Nice to meet all the new faces too including Avmozz and his 8 yr old from Egham way (is that right?) and Matt D/Leigh D all the way from Swindon... hope to see you guys regularly!

Getting ready for Nationals now, should be a blast!

Just a quick note to say what a great day both me and Harry had Fk - very well done mate, you have another 8 yr old totally hooked and wants to play every week now!

{Edit} Harry has done nothing but practice and read all the cards - So much so he now fancies his chances at Rainham tonight! {Edit}

Keep up the good work mate.......Brilliant :)

P.S. Please thank Jacob for his help - I quote Harry: "that American man was nice, nothing like they are in the films" - Straight from the mouth of a babe lolololol
