(Un)Official 2009 Worlds Grinder Thread

According to PokèPress twitter, there are 760 LCQ players with 457 Masters.
No double flights.

If it's 7 rounds, it should be 4 X-0 and some other 6-1 in....right?
 
Here are the preliminary numbers:

JR - 125 players, 7 rds
SR - 160 players, 8 rds
MA - 457 players, 2 flights, 8 rds

We will be starting shortly

We won't know the number of players or rounds until after 10:30. The number of invites won't be announced until after all invited players check in.

I can confirm that Masters will NOT be flighted this year. Everything is in the HUGE main room so I'll be entering the results for ALL of the Masters this weekend.

I haven't heard of an new rulings.

Yes they are... We were told last night that we would not flight. The powers that be changed their mind 30 minutes ago.

I can confirm that there will be a Worlds next year. I can't comment on the location other than to say it I was planning on going to Europe :frown:

We have fire alarms going off and many players/spectators have left the building (just as SR and JR time was about to be called).

We've been told that it was caused by smoke in the kitchen and that everything is ok. We're trying to get everyone back in to resume the round.

We had 8 tables scoop and run. Since it was a valid reason (sirens, flashing lights, annoucements to leave the building) they will get a fresh start. We stopped the clock for everyone else so they are resuming.

What age groups? Did both players scoop?

What happens if one player (with 5-6 prizes scoop) while the other leaves cards there (1-2 prizes left)

Yes, both scooped. They were all in Masters.

We are STILL waiting on one match to finish in Rd 1 for the Masters. Everyone is coming back from lunch now. Juniors and Seniors will be starting Rd 3.
 
Why don't we have updates from people there about the big players? C'mon, there's a free wireless on ;_;
