Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Undefeated NW Regionals (Seniors) + List

Hey I wasn't complaining I was merely pointing it out xD. Naw, I was glad you won. Hopefully we can have a better game soon.

Hatter - Thanks!

Joey - Also 1st Global All Divisions. ;) Yay for gaining 170 points!

Oliver - Lol I meant that I knew you had a bad start so I decided to just play down SEL.

Kazuto - Congrats but you better check with POP about that Travel award. We had players from Montreal and when they asked the POP representative that was present at our Regionals he said that the Travel award would be passed down to the next highest ranked US player at that tourney. Think about it, if thats the case then there would be a huge US presence at Canada trying to win trips to US!!

Kazuto, congratulations on your win! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Pokemon Organized Play said:
Non-U.S. residents are not eligible to collect a Travel Award to the U.S. National Championships, as the U.S. Nationals are open to U.S. residents only. Non-Canadian residents are not eligible to collect a Travel Award to the Canadian National Championships, as the Canadian Nationals are open to Canadian residents only. If a non-resident wins a Regional Championship, the Travel Award will pass down to the next eligible resident. All other prizes will be awarded to the actual winner of the event.

LOL, I just noticed that, now you just need to go X-0 at the regionals in BC and win for an invite to worlds:thumb:.

Yes, but Dave Schwimmer, the head of Pokemon Organized Play was at the event and told the people handling the prizing to give Kazuto the travel award paperwork. He also came over and answered several questions Kazuto's parents had about filling out the paperwork, and he seemed to know that they Kazuto's family were from Canada.

This may have been a mistake on Mr. Schwimmer's part, but based on my experience working with him in the past, I would be very surprised if your trip was taken away.

^
they also handed out the paper work to another Canadian for VGC (4th) and they were informed that the travel award was to Canadian Regionals.

wow. this is groundbreaking. thank you david for 'almost' confirming that canadians can win trips in the US. i just wish this information was more available beforehand as it is the only reason that stopped my (and a few others) from attending

it remind me of watching ash's pikachu at work in the tv show ... that powerful thunderbolt lol

Unless your Sig isn't updated since Reg(Which I think it has been based on that nobody has exactly 20 Champ Points), I have a suspicious feeling you weren't first global, since the European's have had Champ points up for a longggg time.

That is unless you meant 1st in ELO, the tiebreaker?

The problem that is going to come from this is when you have a very angry second place Senior who figures out that online it says he has a fully paid trip to US Nats.

And if this is all true...see you at Canadian Nationals :)

King Piplup - Yeah, I meant ELO. I hadn't won any Championship Points beforehand, due to me only going to one BR.

Jaeger - My Finals opponent was the one who informed me of me getting the Trip first. I have no idea how he knew, but he told me he had to win to get the Travel Award.

Congrats bro! I wish I got that lucky at most events aha, but I hope to see you at nationals man last year we never got a chance to meet at all.

Sam - Lol yeah. Thanks.

MiniWade - I wish I did too. Almost every start I had was at least playable. I wish I got that every tournament. And yeah, see you at Nats.
