Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UPDATED: $11,000,000 or Best Offer

The seller has the price that high on purpose, in order to draw attention to the auction knowing that many high-end collectors that do not enjoy bidding wars will see the seller's collection first, the seller isn't expecting anyone to pay nearly that high of a price, from the response I got back.

Doesn't it cost money to post auctions? Wow...he will have to pay a fee whether or not it sales.

it does.
He must have paid a lot posting that.
anyway I don't think anyone is going to offer him anything close to the BIN price.

I ROFLd when I saw that... good luck, man. I'm sure someone with a spare 11,000,000 dollars would love your fantastic collection.

Q: what ex, lv.x, and gold star pokemon cards are in it Jun-01-09
A: Well, there are no Lvl. X included, but the EX's included are Sneasel EX, Cradily EX, Electabuzz EX, Gardevoir EX, Hitmonchan EX, and Regice EX, and...more

HA HA HA HA HA HA....no lv. x

$11,000,000....that's WAY over 9,000!!!!

He must have paid a lot posting that.
It only costs $0.35 to create a buy-it-now listing, regardless of item price. However, where it becomes dangerous to pull a stunt like this is in the final value fees, which would cost the seller roughly $220,000. He'd get it refunded when the buyer doesn't pay, but it seems like a huge hassle... you have to wait at least ten days to report a non-paying bidder, and if that time happens to intersect with the end of your billing cycle, eBay has ample time to beat down your door for the fees. Bad plan.

what cards were in the pokemon card stack????

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

it''s way to much!!!!!!:pokeball:

That can't possibly be right!!!

Pretty interesting, I'll give him that...

(I laughed at the: *crushes mouse*)

Looks like there's a large, bold note on the auction now.

I just did a skim through over policy and found that large, multi-million price tags may in fact violate site rules under something called "Search and Browse Manipulation". Policy states that "Any other activity...deems as inappropriately diverting members to a listing" can have such a listing terminated.

Not that I'll do anything about it. If it sells via offer, I'll laugh. If it fails to sell, I'll laugh even harder.

I was just wondering why more people didn't pull stunts like this more often to get some quick publicity, but I see that it can be taken down at Ebay's notice. But then again I remember seeing an auction a few weeks ago for about $10,000+ that featured some really cruddy cards, and eventually the listing was edited to only say
"POKEMON CARDS!!!

CARDS!!!"

As I have mentioned earlier and as the seller clearly states it's merely a ploy to get more people to realize the auction. Stupid and Silly with potential dire ramifications? in all likeliness yes.
