Wow. For not a very highly-attended tournament, MPBirch sure managed to pull out some big guns in the 15+ age group.

Who won!?! Who won!?!

Going into the top 4, it was
ST Pika @ 4-0
Ambious Zero @ 3-1
Old Man @ 3-1
And was that Mike Mullan making his first top cut, also at 3-1?

And once again, Spotter goes 0-fer against the Oklahoma delegation. At least my game against Old Man was more interesting than my T3 *DONK* against Ambious Zero!

RESULTS! RESULTS! RESULTS!

Inquiring minds wanna know!

S.

11-14
1st Andy Meier(Metanite w. Zappy tech)(me!)
2nd Cameron H.(Queendom)

I don't know the 10- because I was in my finals match when that happened.

Old man beat older than dirt in a third game sudden death . His turn I am looking at OHKO on his Jarichi when he Quick Search for Switch and does the old swith-a-roo with a powered up Steelix ex.

BAM!

Game over.

Great Game OLD MAN.

Everyone knows I was just lucky to be there.

It was fun... darn "First seed" curse killed me...

Patriarch, I will make sure to get you a copy of any promos you missed- I think they forgot to ask for an extra. I most certainly tried, but time was against me in that 2nd game. A small tourney report will be posted sometime soon...

That was a fun game we played. I thought about the Curse of the First going into it and thats when I thought I would try my chances. Glad I got to play the best player today. So what was in that deck? other than Beedrills and the one Flareon ex that I saw? Oh and with Lady Luck on my side today again thanks for the game.

Thanks everyone. Even though winning this was very nice I was more excited about finally beating Ambious Zero son after 14,207 times (it seems) with our deck match ups. Getting past him was my biggest hurdle. ST Pika & I never got to play but I feel it would have been another fine game.
Thanks to MP Birch for having this last CC. Now I don't have to go anywhere till 7 more weeks.

~Thank You....Sherman~

Thank you to all the players and parents that attended the "Sherman~City Championship". Thanks goes out to Rob of "Big Bob's Cards & Comics". You really saved our us on this one by allowing us to hold the "City Championship" at your shop on such short notice!!! Thank you, Boyd H for all of the hard work that you have done for Pokemon-TCG in the Sherman area and for being our "head judge".:clap: :clap:

And the winners are:

"10-Under": Tyler W. (Texas/Third City Win):cool:

"11-14": Andy M. (Texas/Second City Win):cool:

"15-Over": old man (Oklahoma/First City Win):thumb:

Great job by all that were there. Thanks for making this a very good "City Championship Season". And MP Birch could not live with him without congradulating Mike M on a fine day and taking second in the "15-Over" age group!!!:eek:

Now we can look forward to the new "ex Legend Maker" set that is coming out in the first two weeks of February 2006. This is a great looking set of cards. And they are legal for the "State Championships" that are in March 2006. MP Birch hopes to see ya'll again as he continues the "Magical Pokemon Tour of Champions 2006".:thumb: :thumb:

Yea it seems to get ALOT of ppl in Texas LOL. One of the few to break that was Jose E. yesterday in Clearlake ( Near Houston )

I think people are starting to realize that I'm not just abotu the fake cards and the traveling... I can play, and I can take 1st place. It's time to start believing the hype, lol. Unfortunately, any real deck changes (I have a few planned) will have to wait until after 2/4, when I get a hold of the new cards and see what they have to offer me. Great game, David's Confused Pokedad. I learned that I have a good deck and I also got some good hints about improving it as well. I will PM you about the deck contents sometime this week. I hope to see all the TX/OK players in Del City in 2 weeks...

Anyone find a Plusle (DX #44) in a red holographic sleeve after this tourney? We only made it home with 3 of our 4. Please let me know.

Thanks,
S.

Found it. We have the same sleeves on a three of our decks. One has Plusle in it. I had gone into all the decks looking to replace the proxy cards and thought maybe the Plusle was ours. We have six total including two foils. Got home and the deck had 61 cards in it. So this could be yours.

Bueno! I'll just pick it up with the TVRs. If you're not gonna make it tomorrow, we'll just see you at one of the DFW LM Prereleases (we're gonna make both). Thanks!
