•Local Richmond-area leagues are starved for junior players. Many of our juniors, maybe even to a greater extent than at your league, Timothy, are still at the beginning of the learning curve. Last week for instance, I explained to a player (who has been attending league now for at least 6 months) that he should probably have more than 2 trainers in his deck. Not 2 types of trainers, mind you, 2 cards.
•With prizes going down to 4th now (and a cool door prize), your young-uns would certainly do ok.
Kenneth and Carter are forces to be reckoned with, sure. But even they have off days, right?? The point is that Battle Roads, near or far, are a FAR better "first tournament" than a regionals.
