I've just heard from Mike M, and it's been agreed that due to the major nature of the impending snowstorm in Warrenton, the prerelease scheduled for there on Saturday has been postponed until a later date TBD.
We'll have a final decision no later than 8 AM Saturday regarding Sunday's status. I'll post here and at Virginia Pokemon.

Yes. The library is still open. I'll call them tomorrow morning to see what they think. The library has not decided to close tomorrow.
Since GMU is also still open tomorrow, I have class from 10:30am-12:20pm. I'll see what things look like then.

I actually had a feeling that Warrenton would be postponed when I saw the weather report last Firday. Looks like no prerelease for me prior to my b-day this year (my b-day's on the 8th, BTW)

Following up on this, league on Friday, Feb 5 at the library is cancelled. The Library will be closing at 2pm.
Just don't top Fairfax by 1 player, okay?

As most of you probably expected, I have decided to reschedule the Midlothian prerelease. With the snow/sleet just piling up out here, I can't expect you guys to make it here on Sunday. So--the Midlothian Prerelease will now be held on Friday evening, February 12 at Battle City Games. Registration will begin at 5:45 PM and we will crack packs as close to 6:30 PM as possible. Same promo, same sleeves, but a Friday Night Prerelease!!

We need to have a Friday night Pokemon event up here in Fairfax. Maybe a booster draft. I wonder if there'd be any interest in that.
Rising Rivals is still pretty popular around here. I wonder if we could get a group of people to draft RR and another group to draft HS and then have the two groups face off against each other in a battle of sets.
Jimmy M and I discovered that playing two theme decks against each other is stupidly fun. Maybe a Friday night theme deck challenge?
Hum... We're going to get thunder snow. That should be an attack or a theme deck name.

But uh... this sorta shuts down the VB players... with school and work, how will we get there?

I don't know how workable this idea is, but if you leave VA Beach at 4pm and it takes you 2 hours to get to Midlothian, you get there at 6pm. Even if you're late, what does it matter--it's a prerelease!

It's 2 1/2 at least. Made the trip a few times. I don't get home till 5:30... idunno. Blech. I could not go to Governor's School.
