hows running the CC on sunday

Are you asking how a CC is run?

Well, it will be the appropriate number of Age-Modified swiss rounds, maybe followed by a single elimination round, should there be sufficient time. For more information check out the FAQ at http://www.op.pokemon-tcg.com It will pretty much run like the 8 or 9 you played in last year.

Are you asking who is the Tournament Organizer?

I'd go back and see who is recruiting judges for the event.

Phone: 425-277-3717
Nov 12, 2005
Start Time: 10:00 am
Admission FREE

By start time, do you mean the time that registration starts or the time the main tournament itself starts. Please let me know, I could make it to the tourney depending on how you answer this question and depending on what time my class gets out on Saturday.

Start time = time we start registration.

We check everyone's deck before the start of the tournament to make sure they are playing with Modified cards, and have exactly 60 cards in the deck. At last year's cities this took up to 1.5 hours, mainly because players were waiting to fill out the deck lists at the venue.

(I know, you all want to make those last minute tweeks, and sneek a peek at what everyone else is playing! If you come with your deck-list all ready filled out, only the judge who checks your deck would know what you were playing.)

If everyone came with your deck list filled out and your deck sorted to match, it would go a good deal quicker! You can download and print a deck list from:

http://www.op.pokemon-tcg.com/content/events/docs/City_Champs05_DeckForm_2.pdf

My plan for the Cities is:
10:00 - 11:00: Registration/deck checks
11:00 - 11:15: Slack time to get all the names in the computer, a chance for a couple of stragglers to get in.
11:15: First round pairings posted - players find their seats - Oh no, who ended up in the wrong age group? re-pair the players, get them settled, go over a few announcements (# of rounds, cut for single elimination), etc.
11:30 - clock starts ticking on the first 30 minute round.

Of course, we can always add players once the tournament starts! (Players will receive a loss for all rounds started prior to that point.)

Also note that the Promo Card and the Commemerative Pin are "while supplies last" and the supply is 50 per event. (Attendence at the Saturday DS Prerelease was 66.)

Thanks, I'll make sure to have my deck set up for a deck check and to have my deck list written. I'm hoping that class ends before 11 so I can get from Southcenter to Renton in time. Plus, I don't want to take a loss for being late, but if I can be added after the tourney starts, then I guess thats cool too. I will probobly see everyone on Saturday.

Attendance 50

10 Under 15
11-14 13
15+ 22

Had one drop for a soccer game. Added two players after round 2 that wanted to play for fun.

The winners:

10 Under Matt S
11-14 Stuart B
15 + Jeff C

Sportsmanship Janice R

19 players stayed for the Booster Draft

Winner Bryan K

Props: A city championship with 50 players all from Washington.. That is nearly a 2-1 increase from last years Renton CC where a great amount of Oregon players came to play....which are always welcome....
Extra two booster packs awarded to all players that finished 5th and below...
Several new players including younger players
Shane for hosting the event
New Ex Value packs given out as Door Prizes

Slops: Old Software
Starting Round 5 late
Lousy computer

was great terry props monkeyman, monkeyman's Dad for winning, o ya and Keebler for winning nothing new there, and deb for being deb and she was at table 2 OMG WTF

don't forget. I went 2-1. and then 3-1 in the booster draft. This by far was the best day I've had playing Pokemon in a loooooooong, loooooooong, time. And anyone who says "It's because I showed up late," too bad. I was there to have fun, thats what I did.
