burden is incorrect, Regice's power can be used even if the defending pokemon is evolved. The standard rule is do as much as you can, so in this instance, you discard the 2 cards, THEN look to see if the defending pokemon is basic.

As for needing a heavy hitter, trying to do too much with the deck is a bad thing. With an average of about 3 energy out of 5 cards, you can fairly reliably to 50 damage, which isnt bad for a S1 for no energy. And theres always the potential of more. With so many bench warmer techs (Uxie, Claydol, 1-2 Cattys), you hardly have room to bench anything else, let alone the space in the deck to run anything more with any sort of consistancy.

As for your list, it looks fairly decent. With Pokedrawers, I personaly prefer Rowan to Lookers, because it lets you hold on to that loose drawer in hopes for a second, but thats just personal preferance. The only glaring thing missing is Night Maintaince (or something similar). Especialy with this decks reliance on a self destructive tech (Delcatty), you need something with which to recycle it.

Ok, thank you for the advice! I will try to fit in a NM ASAP because I completely understand what you mean. Im also going to put some rowans in, because you need to use 2 pokedrawer LOADS due to the fact that there are soooooo many different evo lines etc.

Try adding a Suicune (SW) or two.

Poke power: Aqua Recover
Once during your turn, when you put suicune from your hand onto your bench you may search your discard pile for up to 3 water pokemon, show them to your opponent, and put them into your hand.

This will help keep your Octillery in play.:thumb:

I have an Octo-deck like this, only with 36 energies, and stuff [and I posted it here and for some reason, nobody bothers with my new rogue deck , but everyone comes here, giving the guy credit and not me].

Anyhow, I found that using Dialga's power [see link below], you could place three energies from the discard pile to the top of your deck, combo-ing with Octillery.

Only this works once, but if you have scoop-up, it might work. I would keep the Delcatty though. Try both if you're not sure.

Oh ok :S. 36 energys seems to be way too much considering your recycling the energys. Maybe around the lines of 36 in a ryperior but even thats a lot.

Again, Im going to try and see if it works but as ShuckleLVX said, My bench is already crammed, and it will just be sitting there but ok.

ah mannnn, thats so true. But tbh I can't see Amphy/Manetric becoming the new big deck. Especially in UK Seniors. Well... It's beats Kingdra don't it?

But yh, im going to have to CRAM a dialga G lv.x somewhere. Sighs...

i run rhycatty and it is phenomenal, not even remotely awkward. 2 delcattys on the bench for 200 damage every turn, how can that be considered awkward???? the only way, ONLY way to run delcatty is with rhyperior, not blastoise or even remotely octillery. Rework this deck for rhyperior and you will like the reults

out of the original list, i don't like life herb, i'd ditch both for 2 more felicity's. and ditch the TS-2 for the 4th.
