Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Werewolf XIV: Team Rocket's Trap - TOWN WINS

Sign-ups for my game WILL NOT be posted until this thread is finished. This is the time for discussion, questions and comments regarding Lucario ex's game.

That being said….

First off, congrats to AAM for ACCIDENTALLY killing me, the Alpha Wolf, night 1. That really annoyed me haha. The worst part was, he was trying to protect me….*sadface*

Anyways, had I stayed alive, the veteran players would have been picked off one by one. Wayne-egg was the first target, and it was my idea to hide his role, but I thought he had a much more important role. The same night we made Darth Pika (who we thought would be seered) look like a wolf. Despite Waynegg still being new to Werewolf games…he’s smart….too smart, and he plays with words. He was really dangerous from day 1.
My next targets were going to be Darth Pika, then either Diaz, shinygyarados, and/or PKB depending on who seemed the greatest threat.

I watched the entire game afterwards.

I want to give some MAJOR props to a few new players who did extremely well for their first game.

Toxictapian, Kayle, and Victory Bell. These 3 players were all new to Werewolf (VB might have played before I’m nor sure) and did an AMAZING job after I died. Especially since they really only had a skeleton of my plan. The big things I had them do was ALWAYS be invisible when reading and sending PMs. I had some of them stay invisible all the time, and other only some of the time. They posted very well and kept themselves under the radar. It took the seer plus the detective (and some very good clue gathering by playera) to connect Toxic and Kayle. Especially after they seer switched the results on a few people and cast doubt onto the seer’s claim

Next, jellyfisher, benson and theKing all impressed me. Multiple times, they were put under major pressure. Benson and theKing were repeatedly almost voted off and with good posts and clever comments managed to keep themselves alive.

I’d list more, but I’m actually supposed to be studying for a Math test I have in 8 hours. Everyone played an amazing game, I didn’t see anyone who did anything extremely stupid. Although some people jumped to the wrong conclusions, and other acted rashly, overall I was very impressed by all the players in this game.

Lucario ex:
For your first game (at least on the gym) this was very good. Your roles were EXTREMLEY creative and I constantly found myself looking at your roles and seeing how I could implement similar ideas into my upcoming game. Next I want to say that giving the wolves roles was an AMAZING idea. They were VERY balanced, and I found the strategy level sky rocket with them. I very much liked them.

Now on to my question for Lucario.

What did the “You have no powers at this time” roles do? Where they just Vanilla Roles, or was there more to them?

I’m sure I’ll think of more later on.

AMAZING GAME LUCARIO EX. THANK YOU!

Thanks for this game, LEX! Sure, I was a crappy player and I got out like Day 1 (lulz), but this game was pretty fun to watch. Thanks a ton!

Great game, Ive been following it for a while. It was fun, nice plays by the king after he messed up a little in the beginning. Cant wait till the next game! :D

Thanks for the compliments, Absoltrainer. I've been playing constantly on other sites since I was killed here, so I think I've gotten a little better than I started out here. I'm looking forward to your game. In my experience, though, I've found that I generally suck as town. Make me a wolf in your game, please.

I knew Kayle and I were screwed when G landers outed us. That kinda sucked.

Thanks, Lucario EX, for hosting an awesome game. I think you handled a lot of the issue that came up fairly and very well.

Wow what a fun game! Thank you LEX for running a great game.

I know this was my first ww game game so I was curious to ask about my decision on day two. Considering I was a ww noob and what appeared to be a vanilla towne, I decided to try to rally for Gator's vote. I was trying to put myself out there as a meat shield for the "roled" townies to give them a free night. I was hoping the wolves would have thought I had reason to keep him around and I had some type of role which i might benefit for him. I thought this would be a considered a noob mistake (inadvertent reveal of a link or role) thus putting a huge target on my back. I'm not sure if that was the wolves logic here but in my warped logic kinda worked. I'm not sure if it's ever a good idea for even vanilla townies to sacrifice themselves for the "good" of the town like that.

I would love to play again and your critic would be beneficial. I understand if public critic is not a norm. A pm would also be appreciated if you have the time.

Again, I would like to reiterate what a great time this was and to say thank you to everyone who played to make this the experience it was!

Yes, this was an awesome game. One can have so much fun after being a confirmed townie... Half of that was trying to be a meat shield, since my role had no more use, and half of that was trying to flush out the last wolves and Lance. It worked, for the most part. I found Lance and a wolf, Lance just wasn't an indie.

Jellyfisher played a great game, nailing the wolves. If only he hadn't acted like a wolf/indie himself... Can't wait for your game, AT. Until next time~

I think that I may sig up for the next one, as this is really an interesting game. I will of course be a noob- (sheesh, that hurt! I called myself a noob in a Pokemon site!)
I look forward to getting into the next game when it becomes available.

Looks like if those left in the game had followed the advice, or at least used a bit of logic, of joegg (my son) the game would have ended a couple of days sooner. Neither he nor I could believe he would have been lynched when there were 3 or so VERY obvious targets. Good job Clones and Victory Bell for talking your way out of that though.

Everybody else- Remember that often the most obvious choice is the right one.

I'll admit that Joegg's lynch suprised me. He was targeted for simply "replacing an inactive" and then despite giving an extremely good defense (which I thought for a short time was going to save him and doom the person he accused) failed to protect him for his short game time.
