Toxic, why are you defending him? You seem a bit nervous that people are talking about voting him off. Why on earth would you oh so stupidly stick your neck out for a random n00b who's looking like a fairly good day 1 lynch right now?

Why is everyone jumping on someone for a stupid reason?

OH HEY, let's everyone vote for someone because of their non-suspicious activities!

I have to agree with pika on this one. I don't think that voting for napoleon is any better than what he was doing.

Because it's day 1, and this is what we always do. Seriously, you're acting really weird.

Vote: toxictaipan

Reason: Over aggressively defending someone who is a fairly good potential lynch on day 1.

Guys, we do not need to vote for a random person who's had, like, 2 posts in this WW so far. In my opinion, random voting isn't going to do anything, except make people become suspicious of you. If someone who posts extremely often lets something slip, then we have something to go on.

Let's just all hope no one reveals this early on...

Z-man has an italicised quote in Latin in every single one of his posts so far, which seems interesting.
I can't think of any Star Wars characters who know Latin at the moment, so I'll leave that up to the people who have actually watched the films.

hoooaowoc wwoorc Whraakooanwooowh rarcwo caoahanan huwhwhwooawoccrarcro.

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head who speaks Latin either....

I would guess that it's either something Absol added from the pokemon/other universe, or it's Zman trying to make his roll look like something it's not.

Let me clarify this.

Napoleon's vote is not indicative of his alignment in any way. Since his only action this game is a null-tell, there is literally nothing to go on for a case against Napoleon yet. They're essentially just picking a random person to vote for, because he hasn't really given us a good reason to vote for him.

But wait...

People are randomly voting against him because he randomly voted? That makes no sense. Now, if everyone wants to go and vote for a random person, I don't have a problem with that. Just don't be hypocritical about it.

Also, DarthPika, what exactly makes him a good lynch for Day 1? Is it just that fact that there are a few people who are willing to vote for him? Because other than that, there's nothing against him at all. And if that's the case, are you worried that we won't be able to find someone else to lynch instead of Napoleon?

Know what a hypocrite is? DarthPika, you're being overly aggresive and and voting for toxictaipan just because he defended napoleon. I could vote for you just because you seem to be really sensitive when people vote for you.

To me, it doesn't seem as if toxic is defending the other people who got randomly voted for. TTT GCC CAA CAA TGA TTC TCT. He seems to be defending napoleon the most. Seems slightly suspicious to me, but it isn't enough for me to vote on someone just yet.

Also, in the last game, some people put the number of the last post they read on top, in order to reduce confusion--so I will also try to do this.

I'm not defending Napoleon because he was randomly voted for. I don't view random voting as a bad thing. I play on a few different forums, and on one of them, games start out with a RVS most of the time. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. I roll with it either way.

However, I do view people using poor reasoning (or outright being hypocritical) to vote for someone as a bad thing. Napoleon hasn't done anything and no one has given a good reason why he should be voted for, but they're voting anyway. I'm going to have a problem with that regardless of who it is.

I don't care about other forums. On THIS forum, traditionally, the first person to make a dumb move dies. It doesn't matter if you're defending him or not, it's coming across as if you are.

@ TheKing,

I don't care that I got a random vote. What I do care about is that we have someone who did a dumb random vote who is currently being considered as a potential lynch, and we have someone else who is very agressivly deffending that person for no apparent reason. I've even said that I don't care that he voted for me. I voted for Toxic, because of his odd behavior, and I'll stick by that vote.

So . . . let me get this straight. The first person to suggest a random vote becomes a potential lynch, regardless of who they randomly voted for?

Or was the random vote for you more than averagely dumb?

I don't see random voting as necessarily suspicious at this point in time. At least it saves us from 3 pages of 'nothing to say, posting for activity, will do a big post later'. On the other hand, Napoleon has gone out of his way to get noticed, which could be an indication of . . . any one of a number of things.

I don't like random voting, and never have. It's day 1, and usually the first person to do something dumb gets the heat for it. He's a potential lynch for now, but something better may come along. You put heat on someone, you can sometimes force other things out. Notice I haven't actually voted for him, or said that we should lynch him. I only said that he's a potential lynch, because he made a dumb move. I think toxic's behavior was quite interesting, and something we should take note of.

Toxic, I'm wondering why your even bothering to defend Napoleon. There is always going to be this type of stuff on day one. If people want to vote for Napoleon because he made a random vote then fine, it's all part of day one. And he hasn't even been around to defend himself. He could just come on and say that it was all a joke. So why defend him? I just don't see a point it.

So yeah I agree with DP, you are acting odd. I probably will change it later, but for now...

@186 Nawara Ven was a lawyer and Galactic Basic is a blend of Latin and other language (though in the movies, spoken in the language of the movie audience- e.g. in America it would be spoken in English, Mexico- Spnish, and so on) so it may or may not have any relevance.

@192 That's the code of a double helix aka DNA.

Its the polypeptides or something :p A and T link together, as do G and C, not sure if that means anything, just worth pointing out.
