Werewolf xvi the rise of team plasma: Town wins

I really didn't think Scott was a wolf. 2/2 now.

Before I make my vote, this is important for my argument: did the wolves choose who to die? Did they know desufnoc was the one who was going to die?

Aside from that, I don't have much to add. I really thought Scottistru was going to be a wolf, I am surprised he isn't. I think our best course of action is to look to the past. I'm gonna look through older posts and try and find anything that might be suspicious.

Also, the elephant in the room: PMysterious.

What are we going to do about him? Is he just a really bad townie? Or could be he scum? I'm interested in people's thoughts on this.

@ DarthPika, welcome back and good question!

I think that if you want to claim anyone CONFIRMED town, you need to backup your claims. As I had explained before its very risky to assume anyone belongs in this list because if a wolf somehow ends up here, he will be freed from scrutiny for a long time. Just because Absol gave us a kill, does not confirm him a townie. Again, I don't think his actions were suspicious, just that he cannot be CONFIRMED.

Please refer to THIS link for a possible scenario as to why Absol cannot be CONFIRMED.

That list would be more appropriately named "Not-Likely Scum" list.

Here's my list of people that could be wolves. I took out the dead, the ones who revealed, and Diaz/Absoltrainer/Cantor. The last three aren't 100%, but they have contributed to the town's effort. I'm willing to give them the BOTD, maybe just for today.
 
Question for Diaz, During the last game, you were sure that this list contained Ghetsis, why are you not advocating the continuation of probing from this list? The odds have gotten better.

I agree with Cantor, I believe that we should be focusing on PM, its time to put some substance behind our threats.
 
Actually, I think I can be cleared.

King Piplup, I interacted with you in a certain way last night, and you should've received a PM or something from AAM telling you of this (something that wasn't a PM about you being role blocked). However, I'd rather not say what this interaction was, if I can avoid it.

@ DP: Believe it or not, everyone on that list (with the exception of Absoltrainer) has name/role-claimed. Absoltrainer practically gave us SS7, unless he's playing one of the riskiest gambits I've ever heard or something, I'd assume he's a complete townie.

@ Jason: I know of at least one game where the Werewolves had a role-blocker. Keep in mind, AT gave every Wolf last time an ability of some sort. There were no vanilla wolves. Even considering that, they STILL lost. There is no telling what sort of advantages they have this game, I would think that Wolf role-blockers are the least of our worries at this point (and now apparently they have control of Reshiram...? It's not good, dude).

@ Diaz: You are correct, my role is null. If Omega would like to enlist my assistance at this point, I'd be happy to help.

@ Prohawk: True, with the exception of myself actually, now that I come to think of it, I'm not sure if anyone on that is list is 100% confirmed. I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts on the matter.

In general, the only backup to my list is that everyone on the list (except for AT) has name-claimed. But I agree, that's more of a "not-likely scum list." So, just keep that list and read it is as such. It works for that purpose.

@ Cantor:

I agree. PMysterious has always been kinda fishy from the beginning of the game, we've spared him because he's new to the game, but his play has gotten no better. And that point you made about his play is excellent. I think it very much seems like PMysterious was playing around Napoleon, one of the greatest threats to the wolves at that point.

PMysterious, time to make a credible defense. None of your play before now can save you, if you want to a chance of living through today, your play has got to improve VASTLY.

I don't think jpulice or Son_of_Apollo should be considered confirmed townies yet. I also do not think that AT should be considered a confirmed townie.

Which leads to the conclusion that the wolves were afraid of Napoleon. Very afraid.

Once I realized this, I looked back for some changes in play style once Napoleon started posting yesterday. I haven't looked through the whole group of peeps yet. However one who was on my suspicion list jumped out to me when reviewing his posting style.

Pmysterious' posting style changed drastically once napoleon started talking that day. He posted 12 times before napoleon posted. He posted twice after napoleon posted. This coupled with the fact that after reading through his posts he has been defending himself with unsubstantiated claims and making people feel guilty for attacking a new person.

It would also explain why they killed Redados1. So it seems like the wolves wanted to not only stop King Piplup from using his role, but also to get rid of the players he had confirmed to be townies.

I'm not exactly sure why Cantor isn't on that list. Almost all of his posts have been about why Diaz is suspicious. So please, tell me why you think "he has contributed to the towns effort."

And for anyone that thinks a person can be cleared because he was one of the first few to vote for someone who turned out to be a wolf.

This was the second vote for SS7, so please, do not clear someone of being a wolf simply because of how quickly they voted for a wolf.

I'm not sure it would be all that risky. Seriously, look at how many players are willing to call him a confirmed townie. And saying he is a wolf, he probably would have figured that even if there were a few players that did not want to assume he was a confirmed townie, there would be far more players (and I think this is actually true. Just to make sure, could everyone post there opinion on AT?) ready to call him a confirmed townie. Quite a few of those players would probably even defend him if anyone called him a wolf. And if I am correct, this has already happened.

For now, there are two players that I consider to be acting wolfy. Cantor and The King (I'm not sure about PM for the moment. I might go through his posts later to try and form an opinion on him.) Between those two players, I feel that The King is the most deserving of my vote.

Like last game, he has been making short posts that don't really say anything important. Quite a few of his posts (at least to me) leave the impression that he thinks a certain player is suspicious, but he almost never follows up on it.

And I will say it once again to make sure people see it.

I would like it if everyone would post their opinions on AT. Just say if you think that his post that caused SS7 to be lynched makes him a confirmed townie or not.
 
On AT-In my mind, it doesn't Conf-Town him, but it makes him look look less wolfy than others.
On your vote, it sounds very solid to me and am curious what others think.

^This sounds very fishy to me.

1) Why would we need to discuss this? The evidence FOR AT is minimal at best. Therefore this discussion does not seem to help in that regard. I already outlined a possible scenario that has yet to be refuted logically.

2) IF AT was a wolf, the only thing this discussion would benefit is him. It would allow for the wolves/AT to gauge at how effective their play was and thereby have a pool of targets or allow them to know how to change their tactics.

In summary, let's leave all assumptions out of logical arguments, especially when it comes to confirming townies.
 
desufnoc was the second vote? Makes you wonder. This could be nothing, but what if Sandslash's death was planned? What if the wolves decided to kill one of their own to give the early ones semi-immunity? That's the only logic I can think of behind desufnoc's vote. I'm thinking absoltrainer should be put back on the list.

I am pretty confident of one thing: there is another veteran with the wolves, maybe more than one. The people they're targeting make it obvious that they're trying to get rid of the town's best players, which I must admit is an intelligent move, and something that a group of new players wouldn't do.

I'm not the biggest fan of the king either, but at the moment I'm not seeing any real evidence against him, but then again there isn't any evidence against anyone.

If you read my posts, you might just find some bread....My lynching of SS7 is secondary proof of my alignment.
