Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Werewolf xvi the rise of team plasma: Town wins

I don't see the big deal about asking Dragonclyne his name. He's clearly willing to hint at being a GL, that's already half-way there. I wouldn't have asked him to claim, but because he's already hinted at his identity, I feel he needs to name-claim. Otherwise, that IS suspicious. We have established that Gym Leaders are probably town. So by saying he's a gym leader, he's basically saying he's town. People claiming to be town is a scumtell. When no has cast a vote for you and you're already trying to convince people you're innocent, that is clearly suspicious. Do you disagree with that statement?

Where were you when Benzo went off on his rant about needing to prove himself to be town? His claim was way more random than Dragonclynes.

I think we have pushed Dragonclyne to say what he has said, I don't think it was random that he is trying to defend himself without trying reveal too much information, he isn't the only one trying to keep his cards close.

I'm with Jewel on this one, name-claim as a last resort. Use other evidence to base your vote. There are too many probable gym leaders to say that unless someone counter-claims they are safe.

Once again, your defense wasn't all that great either
Got more important things to do than put together a formal defense (I can though). Lets kill wolves instead.

My current list:
DragonClyne725,
PMysterious,
Scottistru,
Jellyfisher,
Redados1,
KingPiplup

PM's post is basically nonsense. But like I said, I think the non-well spoken ones are most likely to be townies. Wolves would tell each other to start making better posts, I'm sure even with SS7 gone they have at least one seasoned player. Basically, if a wolf saw that one of their own was getting suspicion because of bad posting patterns, they would tell them to change.

IMO Scottistru and King Piplup are the two that fit the equation. Scottistru had bad posts but has gotten a lot quieter. This would be a toss-up, but remember, Scottistru was the third to vote for SS7, and there's absolutely no way the wolves would turn on another wolf that fast, especially a vet like SS7 who (in theory) would easily be able to argue those two votes away. I don't think Scottistru is a wolf.

That leaves us with King Piplup. Another point I saw in the update- notice how the townspeople had already gathered and started questioning him before Ghetsis came; then once ghetsis shows up they kill him. Could this allude to the fact that one of the last votes was Ghetsis himself?

And look who made the last vote. King Piplup. I'm pretty confident he's our guy.

VOTE: KING PIPLUP

I'm pretty sure A/AM wouldn't make it that obvious in the update who Ghetis is. I think you're reading into it a bit too deeply.

@Jewelquest: The reason why you are the princess of bandwagons is because of the fact that you did bandwagon a few times and I am not a female. I even say that in reality.

*Sigh* Thank you for explaining that, though I still think that the 'Princess of Bandwagons' title is a little too much for me jumping on one or two of them.

I won't post again until tomorrow, though I can't say when. Good night all.

He wasn't third. There was at least one vote before him that got unvote iirc. Reasonable time frame imo.

So..............We're just gonna let Jason play as he always does and get away with it. He posted when we put pressure on him, so Vote: Jason. Come on man, you gotta play just like the rest of us. Either post saying you are busy and can't play just right now or post and put in some input.

Furthermore, this game seems to be Lotr and Black and White themed.
So, we probably/possibly have:
Monkey guys: Jpulice claims Cilan
Lenora:
Burgh:
Elesa:
Clay: claims Son_of_Apollo
Skyla:
Brycen:
Iris: Dead
Drayden: PCoPB claims
Elite4 + Champion
N
Plasma grunts
Ghetsis
Juniper

I do agree with Jewel Quest that the fun of the game is figuring stuff out with our brains. I mean, yes we could all name claim day 1 and win by voting for anyone double claiming or that seems kinda out of place, but what's the fun in that?

Are we assuming all gym leaders are good guys? WW isn't cannon. For all we know Ghestis payed off a gym leader to join his team.

Are my posts being missed? Ghetsis could have been ANYONE who showed up before the darkness...

I agree, and I also believe we should be voting for summy guys now. Later in this game, we can start using multiple updates and freudian slips to snag the rest of the WW. But what do I know? It's only my second game.

Then why did SS7 say he didn't think ghetsis would show up?

And for anyone doing a vote count: I FORGOT TO UNVOTE JASON, SO DISREGARD THE VOTE IN MY PREVIOUS POST

UNVOTE: JASON
VOTE: KING PIPLUP

Obviously AAM is a different person, but I don't think a mod would ever point out that a wolf let alone the alpha partook in a voting. Bump

The name-claiming should stop.

We already know one wolf role was based around getting more powerful off of killing a specific person.

This game is all about information. Even if this is limited to the unova region there are still 11 gym leaders. It seems unlikely that all of them are in this game, which would make it unlikely to necessarily find a duplicate.

Furthermore, if the wolves really needed to kill one of the gym leaders for a massive power up, one of the wolves could just name-claim that leader as a gambit.

We have plenty of leads.

Furthermore to the claims that I misused straw man or ad hominem or had faulty logic at any point I would challenge you to take a look at what those words mean, examine my use of them and then actually state how I was misusing them as they were correct. Furthermore the only argument I have heard against them paraphrases to; "No I am not using fallacies" and "Cantor is a newb using big words". I would suggest you examine the merit of the claims rather than dismissing them out of hand.

I'm making a big post pretty soon. Since all I'm seeing is one-liners, can we get a bit of a hiatus so I don't post having missed two new pages of posting, please?

Cheers.

You know what, just keep posting. I can tell by the atmosphere someone's going to make a huge slip up in a second.

An ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is an attempt to negate the truth of a claim by pointing out a negative characteristic or belief of the person supporting it.
There was no ad hominem fallacy. I targeted your logic and gave you specific, logical reasons why I thought you were wrong. So yes, you misused it.

A straw man is a component of an argument and is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position.[1] To "attack a straw man" is to create the illusion of having refuted a proposition by replacing it with a superficially similar yet unequivalent proposition (the "straw man"), and refuting it, without ever having actually refuted the original position.[1][2]

Again, I targeted what you said, not what I thought you said, nor did I substitute what I think you said into your post. To put it simply, unless you aren't saying what you mean to say, you are still wrong.

Hopefully very soon considering you are telling the town to stop talking.

If anything, I am now more convinced that AAM was reffering to the fight that took place during the update.
Still likely at least 1 wolf voted SS7. AAM didn't have much reason to mention Ghetsis specifically.
