Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What do you think will be played at Worlds?

can i ask wat is legos?

It's DarthPika's own build of the common deck that's based around the combo of the Poké-Powers of Mesprit (LA) and Palkia G lv.X (PL). When other people play the same type of deck, it's usually called Palkia Lock, Palkia/Mesprit or something like that. :p

I must admit, I have no idea how to play Donphan/Lickilicky/Poliwrath either.

Go back to your cave chuck.
Sorry for the out burst guys he gets roudy this close to worlds. Sometimes have to wrangle him in.

What has happened here? Has everyone just submitted to SP decks and think that they are going to sweep worlds?

Do you people have no faith in Stage Evolutions anymore? I wouldn't be so quick to belittle Machamp and Gengar decks so easily thinking they wont get far. These decks can destroy your build with one quick attack. Hell with the well placed Pachirisu tech, it's going to make most SP players regret running so many basic that reliant on broken trainers.

Basically, just watch out for teched Stage decks.

Neither Genagr nor Machamp do really have an advantage against sp :/
And Pachirisu is a joke, believe me I tested 100 decks against legos, just to find soemthing that beats it, pachirisu doesnt do much :/

Just because there is such a thing like Unown G to help against Gengar and Machamp doesn't mean there isn't a counter to that counter.

Pachi is great against SP, I don't see anything that makes him mediocre. He is able to fill your bench and destroy attached pokemon tool cards and any in your hand while doing 40 damage.

Yeah, SP decks really are fast hitters and hard to beat once set up, but with the right cards you can overcome any of them. All you have do to is prevent them from setting up. Gengar is a total competitor against SP decks, with Pitch Dark on your first turn or doing on the first turn (able to play trainers supporters and Stadiums) it prevents them from using trainers for one or two turns! That's crucial and game changing, especially if you use Lookers Investigation! Machamp on the other hand is only destroyed if they attached Unown G, but if you prevent the attachment for 2-3 turns with something like Mespirit..well what do they do?

Machamp/Mesprit sounds soooooooooooooooooooo inconsistent.

SP is basically BDIF, no denying that. There's only 2 or 3 decks that can stand up to them.

What would those decks be?

SP decks are good don't get me wrong, but I seriously think they are over hyped and over played. If people just ran the counters needed to hinder SP decks then they wouldn't be so great.

I think straight Machamp itself is ridiculous, and adding a Mespirit or two wouldn't hurt it at ALL, especially if you add in the Super Scoop combo.

The issue with Machamp is the following - It loses to Palkia because of Power Locking. It can beat Luxape, but if they player plays smartly and has Uxie Lv. X and Lucario your going to have issues and a lot of them. The other issue is that Machamp loses to every other St2 deck consistently.

Luxape can easily beat machamp in any form like I beat gechamp 4 outta 5 times in testing. You gotta think A LOT though.
