What might Win

How about a deck of 59 Pokemon cards?
Hey, you said might....

Seriously though, I expect a rogue made to crush the Luxchomp meta to take the top spot.

Garchomp SV empoleon Emperor aura energy lock will know away everything in swiss, it will at max lose 2 prizes each match, and every1 will expect it to win sooo badly, but in the top cut, it will face some lucksack speed bidoof with only 1 gible active, and loose due to weakness.. twice

it would lose to gyrados

Why would it lose to gyarados? you just play on Garchomp which can hit for 120 damage when gyarados has no energies. Gyarados is one of the best matchups for that deck.

I think any power locking deck will do well.

Mainly Palkia Lock with Garchomp C line. (for healing)

POSSIBLEY Regigigas lock. Dunno.

But I seriously think Palkia Lock will do well.

It really messes with Jumpluff, and it halts other SP decks. Set up decks like Kingdra cant keep up then so yeah.

I think sablelock, luxpluff, and luxchomp are going to be best. I like gyara, but sablelock destroys it, luxpluff out speeds it, and luxchomp is, you know, luxchomp.

I actually think Gyarados is a great choice for nationals. It has a near even match with jumpluff depending on techs. If you tech correctly it can beat Luxchomp regularly. Judge hurts it, but if you can get a consistent build that can recover from judge I think it is worth taking to nats.

I actually think Gyarados has a good matchup with Sablelock, unless they donk you, and you get Gyarados set up you autowin. Luxpluff may outspeed it but it can comeback on it's high HP, you'll be OHKO'ing Jumpluff while they 2HKO you. Luxchomp is a hard matchup but it's winnable, I think Gyarados is better than alot of people give it credit for.

Gyarados isn't good. It will be played but it isn't good.

Jumpluff and Luxchomp are God tier.
Plox, Cursegar, Anything playing 2-4 Judge, Flygon, and Kingdra will prolly all have various spots in the top cut.

Whiat I think will fail: Gyarados (it's just not that good anymore with every good deck teching 1-4 Judge), Sablelock (needs too much luck to win consistently, good deck, but too much luck for such a long tournament), Any other SP builds (too much SP hate), Garchomp SV (there just won't be enough playing it), Feraligatr Varients (just not good in this format), Straight Champ decks, and any deck playing more than 1 Unown G (seriously get over the Unown G craze Pokegym, the only reason it was originally used was to protect ur Claydols against Gengar and Dusknoir last format and for SPs to counter Machamp, NOW it serves very little purpose against most decks)

If your decks playing Spiritomb you need it. too many people are running chatot/azelf/roserade and stalling until they get set up to take all six prizes.
Also Ive seen a lot of blazekin fb which attaching unown g to your claydol might save you the game ect. In sp they need it because of the ocational machamp they face or mirror/ stall cards like roserade and frosslass. gengar sf is still big and hes not going away. I think it is still a very important card.
