What should be reprinted in X and Y?

This looks about right to me.
 
I really think Recycle (Emerging Powers) should be brought back into our game. Yes it was a coin flip. Yes it put the card back on top of your deck. But there are so many great combinations that work really well with Recycle that it warrants a reprint in X AND Y: Ace Spec's benefit from it, "Special Energy", Items/ Supports, etc. Let's bring this nifty card back, Guys.

When I heard that the legendary birds were getting printed as EX, I was hoping they were the Legendary Ascent ones as they would have been a huge win for me but they were not. Then I found out they were plasma Pokemon which hurt my soul. Sadly the legendary birds have not see a good card since. Pidgeot also suffers from this. Show the birds some love TPC!!!
 
I'd like a reprint of something like castaway^ and energy flow. But I like the new cards that have been showing up, I'm wanting to see the format change, and I can't wait to test.

I'd argue that TV Reporter is back as Tierno, but without the "disadvantage" of discarding a card after the draw. Luxury Ball is back, in its own way, as Master Ball, which has effects and a rule condition that I think Luxury Ball would have, were they to exist at the time.

I was actually very specific about Luxury Ball. I don't think that the effect is worthy of an Ace Spec designation, but I also think that it's too powerful for unrestricted play. I would have loved to have seen more overpowered cards printed where the restriction involves copies of itself in the discard pile. It's a unique restriction, something that I'd like to see Pokemon try more of in the future.

As far as TV Rep, I completely forgot about Cheren and Tierno. But maybe discard 1 to draw 4 instead? Just some kind of limited discard-draw that's not Juniper.

I think it would be. With catcher being nerfed anything that gives a free poke is not good. Max Revive is kind of good as it goes back to the deck so you need to spend resources to get.

As for reprints, I want them to stop. Everything we have now exist as a direct reprint or the same card with different art. XY offers nothing new to the game. We have trainer lock, that exist on a stage one now. They need to stop with all the trainer lock. They have all the same draw support. EX Pokemon are just as powerful. Have not see Ace Specs in XY but I would like those to stay around, just without broken effect. Whats even worse is XY will exist with the BW sets, which ended in a set full of reprint so all the problem cards that existed, still do even if a hard rotation happens.

The cards look nice for XY but the game is unplayable to me because of its playability with the BW sets. Instead of giving use something new, they give us the same. Its as if the new design team is afraid to leave the past alone and try new things. I'm having mixed feelings about the game now and they are leaning on the may quit side...

We got both old and new concepts. Things like Aegislash (OK, maybe not as much as the other guys), Inkay (and Malamar, really, mass discard opponent's cards in hand effects are exceedingly rare) and Rhydon are new and interesting.

Sets at the start of a generation rarely provide much in the way of innovation anyway. Black/White's only really unique card was Maractus, for instance. (And even that had been done in various Fury Cutter attacks previously.)
 
it seems like every new gen we get some old cards and some new cards, this is true mostly with supporters, take charin for example it has been reprinted many,many times but every time with a new charicter frome the latest game. this is alos true with the staples, you know pokeball, switch, potion, the cards we couldent do without, and a noticed that theise same cards seem to get a bit stronger every few gens, for example potion used to heal only 20, now it heals 30, and in the distent futrue theise cards may become obsolite in that format, as pokemon cotinue to get stronger and stronger every year theise classic cards just cant keep up, pokemon will ether have to make them more powerful or just leave as junk cards that are useless in the meta game.
 
Trash Exchange is one of those cards that is a really cool idea, but not something that should ever come back. Even as a Supporter, it'd lead to some really stupid situations.
