Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What was your most memorable battle?

In my second ever top cut in a battle roads, I played rampardos/nidoqueen. This was when Nidoqueen first came out.

It's top 4 and I find out that I am going against a good buddy o' mine, but he is playing Dialga g. He deafens me forever in both games. The entire time I just attack with claydol and nidoqueen, because he won't let me play my fossils. Thus, I never got a rampardos out. At the end of both games, I had a 30 card hand of pokedexes, fossils, and other trainers.

I fear Dialga G now.

Last game of swiss at a city championships.
Me vs. austin allen, it came down to time and the last prize, he almost decked out, but he kept using uxie psychic restore to stay in there, finally, I KO'd his belted Gyarados for the win.

Game 3 Cities 09, I'm running Dialgachomp vs Flygon, I lead Unown G and opt to go first, attach a psychic knowing time is going to be called soon, he opts to call to begin to set up. I Cyrus and SP Radar for a Garchomp, and KO his Trapinch with Hidden Power, he sends up a Weavile SW and I hit it for 50 again, now having an energy gain, energy on chomp with cyrus in hand. He KOs my Unown G with flygon and time is called, I Dragon Rush his Claydol for game.

Round 2 of Grinders in Hawaii, I was playing the PLOX mirror. I knew I was strong at it, and the trick was not to be aggressive. My field was strong (2 Gardevoirs, 1 Gallade, Azelf X, Claydol, holding dusknoir), but in testing, I found out no matter what I led with, if I attacked first I lost. However, my opponent dropped a Palkia and then Darkness Grace'd to a Dusclops, meaning I have to go aggressive, because he obviously has a way to get both Palkia X to kill what ever he needs and Dusknoir to limit me to one attacker. I had to check my whole field to make sure that I wasn't about to lose the insanity that was about to happen. I lead with my Gardy X and KO his tomb, he Gallades my Gardevoir and I Gardevoir him back. He's unable to set at the rate I am because he forced me to PLOX at all times because he was able to get Palkia and Dusknoir out, which limit my use of Gallade. Late game, he pushed up Dusknoir with Moonlight out and I was able to Warp him to his Palkia X(or he'd push up his Ralts for the game), and I'm able to take a tight game. It was memorable because I was able to win outside of my mirror comfort zone.

A couple rounds later I donked a Dunsparce with Unown Q(using Bat and Belt), which was pretty fun because it was against a Shuppet Donk.

my most memorable battle was at Utah state 2011. first states in masters and first time ever in top cuts. went agaist the person that went undefeated and won. first match he killed me with his scizor primes while i couldn't get anything for my umbrechomp deck. second match i got lucky with all 4 scizor primes prized and to add insult to injury his azelf was in there too so that match was over before it evan started. then 3rd match was close we both had 6 prizes and time was called. he had an uxie out and i was turn 0. I had umbreon out and did 30 with moonlight fang. then it was his turn and he had no energy and couldn't attack so it was my turn. turn 2 now and i just drew a special dark and attached it so i did 40 killing uxie and taking 1 prize. h e was turn 3 and couldn't attack so he ended and i won!!!!!! It was the scariest moment of my life

I played TurnCruel(which is still my favorite deck of all time) at Battle Roads, and won all the way up to the last match. I nearly defeated GG.

Without any milk.

Top 2 regionals today.
Game 1 I had a hand of 6 poke on and an energy.
I. Knew that I had to either risk it or concede for time. I played it out.
Instated with nidoran and attached and used scratch. He evolved his machop and used an attack for 30. I top deck a nidorina and evolve using BTS to get nidoqueen to ko his active. I ten use nidoqueen and jirachi to Qin, and only get gengar and vileplume out when I had two prizes left.
