Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Whereforth art thou my Cessation Crystal?

I don't see Absol as a Garde counter ... it' counters everything and tons of Garde lists run it.

ANYWAY, I ran the numbers now that we have more recent results from the What Won Cities thread. An astonishing 67% of decks that placed 1st or 2nd heavily relied on powers. Only about 20% didn't use powers much if at all. The remaining 13% used powers some.

Garde/lade variants took over 35% of the first & second place showings alone. Blissey showed up in about 23% of the finalist's decks. Honchkrow, Magmortar, and Feraligatr were the other strong showers. Most Krow and Gatr lists are heavily reliant on powers. Blissey & Magmortar are funny, some lists use powers a lot (Mags/Delcatty/Typhlosion) while others don't (Absol/Mags & many T2Bliss).

Anyway with Cess being good against TWO-THIRDS of the finishers.....

Why not Cessation?

OHKOs... poof... cessation gone.

"Anyway with Cess being good against TWO-THIRDS of the finishers....."

Is it? I think reversal being gone also hurts.

Pachurisu can only discard tools by his attack. If the opponent doesn't lay the cessation on their active, Pachurisu cannot discard it. If the opponent ko's Pachurisu the same turn they lay the tool, Pachurisu cannot discard the tool. Pachurisu isn't going to even deter tools. Most likely it's going to be KO'd or off the active T3 or sooner to let other things start working. It's primarily a dunsparce, nothing more.
Honestly, I doubt you will be right with that prediction. The fact that it can do 50 AND potentially discard ALL of their tools of a particular kind is nothing to laugh at. Granted, you might be giving away a free prize, but this card is better than Dunsparce. It's much better than windstorm. It can be searched out, and gets rid of that particular tool for 1 and does damage, and has the potential to get rid of more of the same tool. Can't see how that isn't gonna be useful.
