Loppe: say congratulations to Oscar from me (Eskil from Norway)! He won again, that's awesome. What kind of deck is Tyroot? I'm also confused about the deck 4 corners which is mentioned in this topic. Can someone explain this deck to me as well?

It's fascinating how diverse and unusual Sweden's metagame is. Don't expect a report so full of surprises from Norway. Well, I can't say for sure, maybe Norway's Nationals on June 10th will bring a few suprises! :)

Tyroot is essentially Typhlosion swarm, but you attach energy root to stop the body and give him a higher HP, which means rage can hit for pretty scary amounts of damage. You also attach Holons FF to get rid of weakness. 4 Courners captalises on weakness fast, it usually use Magcargo, Lanturn, and 2 other pokemon, with 4 swoop, 4 DRE so you can 'select' your best attacker by turn 2. GL at your nats:thumb:
 
Tyroot = Typhlosion UF + Energy Root. Once Burning Aura (Typhlosion's body) has done its damage, slap on the root to prevent KO and use Rage for heavy damage. Variants include Liability Typhlosion decks. Kempley05 ran/currently runs a version of this.

4 Corners = attempted counter to all decks in the metagame. Varies in each metagame, but relies on no-one playing rogue or unusual decks. =D

Back towards the end of last year, many 4 corners ran Lanturn HL/Rhydon HL/Glalie HL/Macgargo DX/Jirachi DX amongst others. Really just made to counter specific decks. Not sure how a newer 4 corners would work + what to put in it.

Eskil can't play as he is Norway's OP Manager though. He may need luck for all the players going to his Nationals though. A room full of about a hundred or so Norwegians. God speed. =D

Your the one making me look smart:thumb: yeah, a 1-1 or 2-2 weezing line helps emenly as the root combines fantastically well with Weezing and Typhlosion.

I have some info because not all games were finished when we left.

My kids don't have an invite, so probably no Worlds for us this year.
Unless they are allowed to play the French Nationals to try for an invite.
