please let it be Penalty Kicks PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! England is defending quite well, Portugal are playing so below average they dont deserve to win this one, and Rooney red carded was hilarious!
 
Portugal does it again! I didn't see the match (I heard Rooney got red), just the extension and penalties.
I just hope the english supporters won't travel through Holland on their way home =x
 
I'm literally just in the door from town. I thought I'd missed the game and went straight to the TV to catch the results on sky. The TV turned on on Sky One, so while I was cycling back to Sky News I happened to pass BBC with Ronaldo lining up for a penalty. So I literally just caught the last four seconds of the game.

England out on penalties. That's even more of a cliché than a Beckham free kick.

So that's it, the team are heading home now. Germany v Portugal. Hopefully Germany will win that.

I have no idea what the match was actually like so I guess i'll shut up now :)
 
Too bad portugal is going to lose in the next round to france :smile:...after they beat brazil of course
 
its actually Germany vs Italy, and Portugal vs the winner of the Brazil vs France game later today. England so deserved to win.

On a side note, Lampard and Kyut (holland) must be the worst players at the World Cup seriously, worse than the African goal keepers, those guys had more than 69 clear opportunities to score and the both never scored. When I saw Lampard was going to shoot I could have bet my own life he would miss it.

Urgh, disapointing game, why did we save a good heroic preformance for when we're down to 10 men, and Beckhams injured. We seriously had the better of the play, and this was the first match we deserved to win. And Ricardo was off his line for I think 2 of the penalties. Oh well, we were in this competition for longer than Argentina:cool: But hey, Svens last game, so every cloud has a silver lining.

yah but if you see the replay, the ref wasnt doing anything until rooney pushed Ronaldo, so it looks like he got the red card because he pushed him.

That's what i said. After France beats brazil, they're going to beat portugal. Then they're going to beat italy beacuse italy is going to beat overrated germany

oh wait. i see that you were correcting someone else. oh well. France FTW
 
yeah I was correcting the guy above you. Im rooting for Germany now, Germany or France because Henry > all.

I am now embarrased of wearing my Portugal shirt.
