Worlds DSIs?

That is just fail. The DSI's should be made for the people that deserve it at the event.
so, is someone supposed to wave a magic wand at worlds and...voila, there are region-coded DSis in the correct numbers and regions, with the custom shell?

I checked the mail, no DSi today. I'm still optimistic it will be here soon, and it will be well worth the wait.

For you guys who are still waiting, don't worry about it.
When you see the box outside your door or in the mailbox, just make sure you don't drop it or throw it in the air or open it right away.
THEN, you guys can go crazy once inside the house.

The people should have already made it before the event, instead of working on it now. Though, whatever works for the OP, ain't doing anything about it.

that would be nice but how should they know who from what reason makes top 32. Also maybe they shouldn't do it with a region code because then i actually would be starting to buy more products from Nintendo

How are they supposed to know ahead of time who is going to make it to top 32 to win it? They can't just make a bunch of random ones and then cross their fingers and hope that they were right.

This is true.
Although, it would be nice, still, to hear news about when we'll get these...

They have to region code each dsi individually, and they didn't know who won until they actually won.

Off topic... I wonder if there is such a thing as a non-region coded DSi? And probably more importantly would Nintendo consider ever allowing such a thing into the marketplace as a worlds prize?

Ian I was wondering the same thing.

I'm not sure what goes into the software coding of a DSi, but maybe next year it will be possible to make all of the DSis before hand and then region code them after they know who is in?

Any word yet on when to expect the DSI's? Everyone has been troopers waiting for so long its about 11 weeks now. My son checks the mail every day even Sundays ....

Thanks

I got my box today, still no word on the DSi. Really hoping they show up soon

I doubt it. How would the Shopping channel work since each region DSi has it's own one?

And I have a question about the Worlds DSis, if a player won one could they chose which region one they got?

same way as the DS?

That is an interesting question. I suspect that the shipping of region coded DSi's across regions would be frowned on by Nintendo. (Trade mark issues?? :( )
