It really helps the judges when players maintain really clean game states. Keeping cards in the field of play longer than they really are, not having all the cards visable, and not clearly communicating what you are doing, makes things harder than they need to be. It is also helpful for us if you give your opponet a moment any time you do something so that they can stop you if you are doing something wrong. Just a pause BEFORE taking action. So announce the action then pause then take it. That really helps us clear everything up.
As Pokemon grows and gets more competitive it will become increasingly difficult to always determine what is REALLY going on. That is harder than simply looking at a card to apply the correct rule. There will always be disagreements with judges in situations where a judgement has to be made concerning what is the correct game state as both players are disagreeing where the game stste really is. So let's play in a more organized manner to help the both the judges and yourselves.
