It really helps the judges when players maintain really clean game states. Keeping cards in the field of play longer than they really are, not having all the cards visable, and not clearly communicating what you are doing, makes things harder than they need to be. It is also helpful for us if you give your opponet a moment any time you do something so that they can stop you if you are doing something wrong. Just a pause BEFORE taking action. So announce the action then pause then take it. That really helps us clear everything up.

As Pokemon grows and gets more competitive it will become increasingly difficult to always determine what is REALLY going on. That is harder than simply looking at a card to apply the correct rule. There will always be disagreements with judges in situations where a judgement has to be made concerning what is the correct game state as both players are disagreeing where the game stste really is. So let's play in a more organized manner to help the both the judges and yourselves.

I would even add, PUT cards in the field.
I have seen so much "shortcuts" which make the gamestate confusing.

Just to remember, a normal trainer goes to the discard AFTER the 'effects' of that card are resolved and NOT before.

Rare Candy should be on the field/table (and not already in the discard) when you "evolve".
Warp Point should be on the field/table (and not already in the discard) and discarded AFTER both players made the switch.
Night Maintenance should stay on the field/table (and not already in the discard) until you indeed have shuffled back the cards of your choise.

And the list goes on.

If you dont believe me, know this, a MA player at US Nats this year was given a GL for exactly the same play.....allowing the gamestate to become broken for not stopping his oppo from claydol'ing with a cess active.

Yes, he did. And he deserved it!

Different scenario here though.

Anyways, I had nothing but good
experiences with the judging and staff this year. Props to all of you- and thanks.

I heard, in top 8 junior a Judge was giving no penality after a claydol done with cessation crystal on the field. The opponent calls another judge who finally give a game loss.

In top 8? Is that possible? I'm pretty sure that happened.

that junior player who done cosmic w/cess is one of our players over here
