This pointless complaining about the prize structures for everything is actually getting rather annoying. What happened to the good old days where we used to chat about things that actually wasn't pointless. No matter how much you guys complain about these things, POP or PUI will not change everything. You guys should be happy with what you get, as someone very wise said earlier in this very thread.

The thing is, though, since awards were given out throughout the event, how did the Judges know in advance who was going to "bomb out"?

No, I don't have that and really don't have time to chase it down. Sportsmanship awards had NOTHING to do with record, and everything to do with attitude and adherence to the spirit of the game in the eyes of our extremely qualified and fair judge staff.

Actually DLM, the sarcasm was secondary. Sorry it didn't float your boat.

But the math remains the same. If the charge is that the players with better records had less chance of getting a Sportsmanship Award, the 3/48 is greater than the 12/300 and, as a result, distribution of the awards were statistically skewed to the high end.

(hmmm... maybe a song-and-dance next time)

Anyway, for all of you who say like "wear it with pride," yeah, ok, and what, lose my social life? GREAT IDEA! It's totally worth it to promote this "GREAT GAME" right???

God, and for all of you who think that I;m a "1337ist" or i think I'm too "1337" for this stuff, thats complete ignorance. I'm not to COOL for it, I just dont wear stuff like that because I dont want people to MAKE FUN OF ME!!! Do you get it? Jeeze =/

Anyways, stop talking about like % of sportsmanship awards and all that crap ;/ who cares. =/
 
GrandmaJoner, you have to stand up for what YOU BELIEVE IN!! So what if they make fun of you? I would show off the Gastly on my jacket ANYDAY!! Soon those people who would make fun of you for wearing the jacket will realize how cool Pokemon is, and we will live in the same world Pokemon was in 5 years ago!! :)
 
GJ: I find it interesting that your 1st post (you started this topic!) stated that sportsmanship awards winners got more stuff than you and other top 32ers. Now, you say, ignore the FACTS and just listen to me. HA. I knew all that math I took in college would pay off one day LOL :)

Gee and I wasn't even taking algebra and I can see all of this quite clearly. I can see quite clearly that this complaining is plain pointless. Be happy with what you get. In my old days with stupid WOTC, I never got even a quarter of the stuff I get now from Nintendo. be happy with it, or someday it will be all gone, and we'll be back at square 1.
