Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Worlds should be east west US yearly

not to mention you're asking the good folks at OP to publicly throw the folks higher up the ladder under the bus. not exactly a wise thing to do if one enjoys their job...

jmho.

i'm glad that was your honest opinion because otherwise it would not make sense to post, imho.

i agree with you, op. New Jersey provides more of a family-friendly environment than Hawaii does.

i think every place is more of a family-friendly evironment than Hawaii.
But worlds isnt about being friendly to players, its about being friendly to certain groups of players and things like that.

jmho though

For goodness' sake, where on the East coast do you want events? It's not like Indy or Colombus are/were terribly far away for most of the East Cosst?

And I've had 1 of 6 Nationals on my half of the country and 0 of 6 Worlds in my country since 2007. What's your point?

Doesn't matter where you put anything, there will always be people who complain.

Distance from California to Indiana

2239.23 miles

Distance from New York to Indiana

706.46 miles

Thats 1/3 of what west coast has to drive/fly. Indiana if anything is east coast

I really don't like the Hawaii location. If you're going to force the player base to get expensive plane tickets, I'd rather it be to somewhere much more enjoyable to go.

I think my top 10 places would be:

Paris, France
London, England
Amsterdam
Cape Town, South Africa
Moscow, Russia
Tokyo, Japan
Orlando, Fl.
Chicago, IL
Somewhere fun in Australia
Berlin, Germany

Melbourne is a cool city...

You do NOT want to go anywhere near South Africa. Trust me. I have. Several times. It makes the Gaza Strip look like Disneyland...

Boy, was that selfish. Nationals is irrelevant. The entire point of Nats is to have it in a CENTRAL location, so it's easy for EVERYONE to come to- not so you can have it in your back yard.

i think anywhere in europe/other than USA is impossible because of the japanese.they have too much power/influence in the decision making for the worlds while i think europe has none.the ones who make the shots are 70% Japan 30% USA.and once again my best comment-worlds location is set for +3 years.it HAS TO BE at the Hilton since TPCi,Pokemon USA has a contract with them.
If it were only the Hilton thing it would be possible, but since there are other things involved europe/anywhere else than USA can't w/won't get worlds for a while. And i think the Japanese have no interest in hosting worlds, that's why im leaving Japan out of this.

jmho though

Whats the point of having worlds somewhere were nobody plays? (South Africa,Russia)

Expanding the game-Russia is a major unexploited market...etc

They would be better off establishing a player base in such areas first before hosting Worlds there. Practically zero locals will grind in the LCQ if Worlds were to be held in a place with little Pokémon players. I do agree, though, that Worlds should be held in other countries other than the US, especially in places with flourishing communities. Europe, Japan, or even places like Hong Kong, Malaysia or Singapore would be great.
