Worst Pokemon card set ever????

Yah, sure, a set that created encargo, had staple cards in the form of legendary body pokemon, and crobat is somehow the worst set.

I dont know about worst set but the most dissapointing ones were
Powerkeepers: I'm sorry but Dragon frointiers was a fantasic set and this was an appalling set to finish the whole EX thing on.... a few good reprints and thats about it
Diamond and Pearl: This set was not mind blowing or anything considering it was ment to be a new start and everything and we had to wait ages for it to come out over here coz it was released alongside the DS game :( (I think it was something like 4-5 months in the end we waited)

I have 2 sets that are the worst.

1: Galactic's Conquest
2: Bond to the end of time

Those sets are so bad, Even the Mewtwo deck sitting in my attic will be really playable now.

Um, Jeff, that was supposed to happen. LC was designed as a set that was playable for sealed right of of the pack, so they gave you automatic 2/1 lines of pokemon so always had an evolution line.

Well that was annother stupid idea of WOTC!!

So far i would say Skyridge. It had no use to me.

Also out of the diamond and pearl sets i would probably say Sf. Sadly i say that but it just doens't intrest me at all :/

Holon Phantoms out of The EX

Not all cards are good..

If i had to say best set ever.

мαנєѕтι¢ ∂αωη I love all of the Lv.X's they were at great prices. great attacks. Good health.

And are just awesome.

Pokemon just rocks.
All sets are ok.

The absolute worst Pokemon card set? I'd have to say Emerald. Sure, Holon Phantoms, Skyridge, and the Gym Leader sets all had a few strong Pokemon (and a number of good Trainers) to boast of, but all Emerald had was Medicham ex, Battle frontier, and Scott.

So far, there have not been any truly bad DP-on sets (even DP has its bright points), but the upcoming two sets might leave something to be desired.

E-Reader Sets. There is nothing redeeming here. Pokemon Reversal first saw print then, but its not legal now and Gust of Wind is better. Enough said.

DP because one the Lv X's are in tins and two nothing in particular was very outstanding about the set

Ugh, how could you say SF is BAD?!?!?!!? It is the absolute best set we have seen in maybe 2 years or more!!

Majestic Dawn was okay... but the best set ever? No way. Only Eevees see any play this format.

I'd say Holon Phantoms was the worst.
It was simply dumped on us, had no real set theme or focus, and had that one, not very good ex per box.

But I'd say that the runners up are Hidden Legends (kind of just bleh), Emerald (nothing unique) and Majestic Dawn (too... I suppose the best descripton is simply not playable, other that a few random things and Eevee).

Actually, I kinda liked it, considering that it's the basic concept we do for prereleases. I'd really like if nintendo made boosters like this just for sealed tournaments. It was fun because you didn't have as many throwaways when you went to build your deck.

For all the people saying holon phantoms, I have one card for you. Holon's Castform. That card along with the holon engine defined the meta.

power keepers was bad other than delcatty and absol ex.

i don't get the hate for legend maker, delta species, or holon phantoms at all. banette ex, cursed stone, mew ex, transceiver, holon's castform, jolteon ex, vaporeon ex, stump, etc etc etc... i would play in a format with ONLY those sets!

Why was Holon Phantoms bad?!?!

If it didn't exist, Rare Candy wouldn't have been legal for BR's and Cities last year

Although I liked some of the EX sets, I felt there was way too much disparity between the common/uncommons/regular rares and the EX cards. In the EX series, some of the sets had few to no desirable cards that were not EX cards (see: Emerald, Holon Phantoms, Legend Maker(?)). Although that is still true to some extent, there seems to be more parity with good Trainers being put in the theme decks as well as having many viable common/uncommon/regular rares, in addition to the holo and Lv. X cards.

Although I don't really have difficulty getting cards, I think that series was one of the worst for newer players (I was not one at the time, but still...)

Not to say Skyridge was good, or anything, but I'm willing to bet that at least half of these people who are saying it's so horrible haven't ever seen one of the packs. All the complaints are the exact same. I'd have to say Power Keepers, though. It was just a major letdown on the end of the EX series.
