You can't be my enemy. My favorite team isn't even in the same division as yours, assuming you are a Flames fan. My favorite team is only the best team to be in the divisional basement at time of this posting. GJG

Based on the context of my post before this, you actually want the flames to be in the western conference basement? Early draft picks?

I totally should have said this:

"There is a better chance of the NHL starting a European expansion than having the XY theme decks being Fairy Dark for one, and Psychic and Fighting for the other." I'd be so trolled by TPCi if that were actually true, because the revealed images would have been fake or images meant to trick people.

Those are the ones I remember seeing on the tables. That averages 5.3 EXs per box. I'm inclined toward the 5-6 EXs per box rate. Pretty much everyone who attended left with an EX in hand. I was more than happy with my pulls. :)

WOW!! Those were some great boxes. We went through 24 boxes at 2 prereleases and averaged 3 Ex per box.

And now an effort to be on topic: the four boxes I've opened were 1 FA/4 EX, 1 FA/3 EX, 1 FA/3 EX, and 0 FA/3 EX (sigh).

Nasty boxes. I'm glad I didn't pre-order this set, nor am I planning to collect it. Even my Plasma Blast box from last year had 5UR. To be honest it seems like the ratios for EX card have remained the same. It's just because there are no Ace-Specs that the overall UR pulls are lower. Makes me feel much better about LT, since you still got 6 LT EX per box (even If they were annoying repeat pulls) in that set. I wonder how the pull rate will have an effect on the economy of the cards? I assume Venusaur-EX and Blastoise-EX will be slightly more sought after just because they can Mega-evolve. A shame those Megas aren't FA by default.
 
just got back from the pre-release and managed to pull a yveltal ex full art!!! And managed to trade for blastoise ex full art, emolga ex and skarmory ex. However, just managed to pull only two holos out of the 8 packs.
A quick estimate, these are roughly how much of each cards were pulled:
2 yveltal ex full arts
2 blastoise ex full arts
1 venusaur ex full art
1 skarmory ex full art
1 emolga ex full art
2 venusar ex
2 blastoise ex
3 emolga ex
2 skarmory ex
1 yveltak ex
1 xerneas ex

Overall, the pull rates for holos were terrible

did u see the box literally get opened? or how do u know they were from the same box? Also, horrible rates =/ i saw a box with 2 FA's and 2 ex's only =_=
 
Our table had 6 people, each got 6 packs...
At the prerelease there were a lot of people, but I didn't really socialize... Since I don't know how to play the TCG I didn't participate in the tournament. I dropped out after round 1.

I watched the Professor hand them out from the box.
 
Well this week, the pre-release did happen.
I went 2-1 (only 3 rounds, cause the guy wanted to watch the Super Bowl).
Even though we got done way before even 2 PM.

We started kinda late though.

Nothing really that great in my pulls besides a regular Yveltal.
Then after the tourney I get a Venusaur EX.

Pulls:

Swellow
Wigglytuff
Mr. Mime
Beedrill
Venusaur EX
Aegislash (promo)
Rainbow Energy
Double Colorless Energy

Then went home for a bit.
Then I went to my parents house to watch the Super Bowl.
Seattle just STOMPED them flat!
BTW notice they didn't mention the Storm when talking about champion teams for Seattle?

As a long time resident of the state of Washington & the Seattle area my whole family was jumping up & down.
With the rather young guys on this team, they have a serious chance of becoming a multi-time champ.

You didn't stay for the extra packs at the end? (unless yours somehow didn't include them...)

Also its a good time to learn cause no one really cares about records at these things and can help you out.
 
The person said once you lost your round, you are awarded your packs.

EDIT: Then again it is my first prerelease, so I don't know the correct protocol...
When I go to prerelease in November I'll stay the whole thing.
 
Some are more lenient than others. Same happened at my prerelease. Was unaware of actual start time, had a family issue to attend to, leader decided he could buy his way in, drop round 1, and get his two packs.

It's completely ruined the flow of the pre-release as then ppl had byes when all you want to do is play and enjoy the new cards and random deck you built.


Also, pull rates seem very random, but nothing surprising. I was a part of a great box in one 6pack draft, as well as a horrible box in the other.
 
Well I was told to get to the prerelease for 11:30, turns out at 1 the packs were being dished out, so I had to wait for at least the first round, so by 1:30 I left... haha
 
I got a full art Venusaur EX from the general packs, as well as Raichu, Rhyperior, attack Aegislash, Sycamore, Shauna, and other trainer cards. After the tourney, In my extra packs, i got a full art Yveltal EX. Everyone hounded me for them, and I'm like NOPE. Surprisingly more people wanted my Venusaur, which is weird cuz Yveltal is the more sought after card in the set.

I've been thinking about making a deck with Yveltal, Ho-oh, and Skarmory. Call it "Evil Birds" lol

Also now with the Blastoise EXs, you can make a deck with nothing but Blastoise cards and still work effectively. With M-Blastoise's monstrous HP you can tank with Hard Charm, Spread massive damage, and more.
