OK, a while back I posted my Dark Scizor deck. Well, it did so-so at SBZ, and I wanna make it a lot more powerful for the FAT. It's slowly evolving into an AQ Scizor deck however... Tell me what I'm missing. (BTW - no elms or gen. cleffa plz)

Pokemon:
2x Scyther (Promo)
2x Scyther (AQ, D-09)
2x Dark Scizor (Dest)
2x Scizor (AQ)
3x Cleffa (Promo)

Trainers:
4x Switch
3x Potion
2x Super Scoop Up (to save Spec. Energy)
3x Metal Cube 01
2x Grass Cube 01
2x Time Shard
2x The Boss's Way
2x Rocket's Hideout
3x Bill's Maintenance
4x Juggler
2x Forest Guardian
1x Traveling Salesman (gets TMs)

Energy
11x Grass
4x Metal
4x Darkness

The original purpose of the deck was to use Grass Cubes on Scyther to poison and sleep for some stall, while building up a Dark Scizor with DDM and attach a Metal Cube to rip out babies like Cleffa without a flip. Juggler is a very common card-drawing card, as is Bill's Maintenance. Cleffa promo fits well there too. The AQ Scizor has been proven to be extremely helpful in play, and I recently aqquired the second one to power me up.

So, what else do I need?

If you want to be competitive you gotta play all the EVIL archetype cards and here is a standardized list of what the deck would look like

3 Scyther
3 Dark Scizor
2 Cleffa NG
2 Suicune
2 Sentret
2 Furret AQ
2 Pichu
1 Murkrow
1 Tyrogue

4 Professor Elm
4 Copycat
4 DBG
4 Pokemon Trader
2 Fanclub
4 Gold Berry
2 Focus Band
1 Town Volunteers
2 Rockets Hideout Gym

4 Dark
4 Metal
7 Grass

Only problem is Cargo, AQ Scizor, and feralasect ream you and in general Dark Scizor isnt that strong =/

Well, I would just build a deck like monkeyman8889, if you want to stay competitive. Otherwise, well dark scizor really isn't that good, it takes far too long to build up, and the defensive advantages aren't good enough to warrant actually using. What no non-holo suicune.

Cut all of your trainers and put in the following

4 elm =P
4 copycat
4 gold berry
4 double gust
1 town volunteers
4 power charge
2 focus band
4 pokemon trader
2 pokemon fan club
1 random non mf tech card like a professor oak or something because every decent deck on the planet will ream your anti-cleffa deck.

Jeez! Cant you guys read? I said NO ELM/CLEFFA!!!

Why the heck should I put suicune in there? I know I have fire weakness, but Suicune needs Water...

and why play Furret if everyone has tyrogue? It'll just up and die!

I got ONE thing to say "=/"

First off YOU DONT ATTACK WITH FURRET It stays on the bench and grabs your deck and metal for scizor and the suicune is so you can setup without your scizor being DBG.

If you ever wanna compete in the big leagues you better play cleffa and elm or you wont win

SO, if I just leave furret on the bench, no energy of anything, what happens when I play double gust?

oh, btw- it is possible to win without Elm/Cleffa. Most peope are too stupid to realize it. They say there are plenty of ways to exercise draw power in this game, but if that's so, why don't they use them?

Dark Llama, you need to take monkeymans advice, its good.

You cannot possibly even begin to THINK you can compete on a high level by NOT playing cleffa or elm. Its not creative to think you can, its stupid. Other forms of draw are used in conjunction with elm, copycat, oracle/bill, etc. Juggler and forest guardian don't cut it in a rouge deck. You need the elm, copycat, trader, fan club to have a chance at doing well.

And suicune, Suicune stops you from being DBG'd easy enough to understand.

And from your first list, you run no DBG so DBGing your own furret active isn't a problem. And if you do run DBG, which you need to, furrets got a retreat of one, so if you play the deck right it shouldn't be a problem if they choose your furret.

Good luck with it.

But with the new addition of Draw Power it shouldnt be that hard and a 2nd Turn furret grabs it all anyways dont worry you should be fine.

OK, I see now Dark Scizoe is probably nothing more than a fun deck, so here's the new list:

Pokemon:
2x Scyther (Promo)
2x Scyther (AQ, D-09)
2x Scizor (AQ)
3x Cleffa (Promo)
2x Sentret (Disc)
2x Furret (AQ)

Trainers:
4x Switch
3x Potion
2x Super Scoop Up (to save Spec. Energy)
2x Grass Cube 01
2x Time Shard
3x Bill's Maintenance
4x Juggler
4x Forest Guardian
2x Bill
4x Double Gust
2x Trader

Energy
11x Grass
4x Metal

This deck should have little trouble against Feraligatr, as my Scyther does 40 damage, gats weakness makes it 80...

I'm wondering still, since Scizor just says Metal Energy, should I dump some cards for Rainbow as well?

It was too good to pass up. Besides, I think the only reason you say you hate elm or cleffa so much is simply because you want attention. But if you truly insist, at least max out on bill, and maybe bill's teleporter.

Anyway, there is a reason for suicune. First thing, YOU DO NOT ATTACK WITH IT. You use it as anti-double-gust, or to double gust for free. It works great against fast fire, even though you lose a prize, it's better than them gusting up that hitter you wanted to use so badly and losing the game later on. It also has free reatreat, so there really isn't a point double gusting it up.

marys inpulse would draw cards and not waste engery as juggler does. what about orical? or oak's reserch, or even desert shawman?
How about some power charges to get that specal engery back?

--------------------
Erica total 24, thats right, 24.
Dunsprace total 41.
I've gotten 98 on that Machoke at work game. I beat Driving Corasola.
I almost beat the record in Hold Down hip hop. I got 2000 or so in Kinglers day. I got 7 in Rapadash's dash. Butterfree's Flower Power 4700. 123 In Jumping Dodoro. My all foil deck is finished.

"I've got floating engery."
"I've got counter productive Powers."

"One heart can make a diferance."
"Rock the world baby, rock the world."
"Roll out!!"

Gengar thats a nice deck...

except for the fact you put in elm and cleffa.

and other, more pointless cards... Why on earth would I use electabuzz and Horsea and Suicune in a GRASS, keyword GRASS, deck? I dont even have th eright energy! The rainbows go to scizor!

One thing you could do is take some of the fixes to heart instead of insulting everything someone puts out. A lot of the stuff people are posting are fairly self-explanitory

Electabuzz is for Tsunami-Gatr, Starmie and Light Golduck.
Horsea owns Cargo, needs CC to do 40 to a Cargo (or other R Pokémon) and goes to the bench, so it can't be attacked the next turn.
Suicune is also for Cargo, because it can't be dgusted out. If you put your Suicune active, your opponent can't DG and you can without having to change your active Pokémon.
Replace the Elms with Copycat and/or Forest Guardian and replace the Cleffas with other baby Pokémon (Promo Cleffa or Tyrogue or pichu)

Oh and btw, this isn't a GRASS keyword GRASS deck, it's a Scizor/Furret, keyword SCIZOR deck.

When your best pokemon gets OHKO'ed before it gets pumped up, you'll learn. Suicune avoids that completely, who ever said that every pokemon you have in your deck is meant to attack? Free retreat doesn't mean crap when most viable pokemon can ko anything in one hit.

Suicune has a Pokémon Power (Legendary Body I think) which says basically that it can't be dgusted out if it's active, so your Scizor can't be ko'd while on the Bench (unless you're playing against an Exeggutor/Meganium).
