Got a question about Battle Zone?

I will try and answer them here.

If your question is ignored it means I don't have or cannot give you an answer.

No Delegate Program questions please.

Is there any way that I can get battle Zone kits directly from the USA/Canada? I'm still hoping that the UK will come through and deliver on their promises that BZ will go smoothly, but I should like to have a contingency plan.

There aren't many of us left playing in the UK so I'd even be prepared to import and redistribute the kits to the other active leagues.

Some large posters would be good too. (2ft by 3ft??)

The UK office is ordering kits from us. You will need to go through them to get kits.

Look folks I understand all the difficulties you are having on your side of the pond.

I also understand that the offices over there very stretched.

I really believe they are trying their best to get things going with what resources they have.

I will not be able to answer specific questions about your League situation. I cannot speak for those offices.

The UK office have ordered the kits? or the UK office have yet to order the kits? Sorry to split hairs but if they have ordered the kits, then this is cause to celebrate. How many have they ordered? when will they be sent? To whom do I send all my spare Bothans?

Will there be posters that we can use to advertise league locations?

It is my desire to do all that I can to make life simpler for the UK office. I don't like complaining! Honest!

Hi DMTM, things are starting to look positive now so not to worry. Perhaps though you could encourage WotC-UK to have a regular presence on WizPog and impart the benefits of such a move?

I have a few questions for you - could you summarise in a quick sentence for me to pass onto my league members the main differences between Year 3 and BZone?

Well Battle Zone can be run as either a Tournament or as League.

As a Tournament the TO registers it through the DCI and then signs people up to play. The prizes being the cards in the kit.

As a League you earn those cards by accumilating points. Highest total points win the cards. You can order 4 kits for the month and have 4 oversized cards, (not in the first month) 64 classic promo's, and 32 of the new ones. 1/16/8 in one kit. 100 points to earn the classic promo, top 4 win the oversized cards and top people win the new promos.

Tournament=competitive.

League=Social.

Good question. Is that what you were looking for?

Quick sentence: You earn points to get cards. Highest gets the best!

Hmm... *racks brain*

Any idea how this'll be doing during summer next year? Same? Different?

That's pretty much all I can think of that'd be related to my situation. I'm stuck in a college town with no league and no transportation other than my feet, so I'm assuming I'll be able to actually go to this League-like thing next summer when I'm at home for a fairly large amount of time.

WE will have to see. Don't know.

1. Will the kits include DCI registration Cards?
2. Is it possible to run Batllezone as a league some weeks and a tournament on others (i.e. to achieve something similar to league year 3)? If so, how?

1. Yes.
2. Just do it. Probably not the best option, but seperate things out.

Since this is a tournement enviroment, will it need to be run in modified format or is it up to us. We will also run at least one day a week as a league. We currently run 4 sessions a week so we can do both.

Single
1. Unlimited/Modified
2. Constructed

Limited
1. Sealed
2. Booster

Team
1.Constructed/Modified
2. Limited Sealed

hmm... since the league can be run in tournament style being dci sanctioned, does this mean that only someone 18+ can run the BattleZone Tournament style? also if BattleZone is run Tournament style would running a BattleZone tournament contribute towards master professor points?

if the kit can be run as a League BattleZone, does it include those crazy Green Star Stampers? What are the points marked on (ex. score cards like last year)?

if i can convice this store to atleast run one, how much do the kits cost since i will most likely have to pay for them?

BattleZone is coming... hopfully [Wink]

Your first question is not clear to me. A TO runs the tournament. You could get the store to put in the parperwork for you if you are not 18...you could fill it out and have them submit. You must be 18 to TO.

A Judge can be any age so you could HJ.

It does count toward MP, but you cannot do both and have them both count.

You can be both the TO and the HJ as long as you are 18.

No more Stampers. There is a score sheet that keeps track of points. They are included in the kit.

Kits are low cost. Cheaper then the League last year. Have the store manager contact us for details.

first off even though i have yet to receive anything about professor program and not even logo sign umm will i still be getting the battlezone t-shirt or is that not possible?

Second i was reading something in the professor forum about something that would be given to the professor helping out or running a league exactly what is that and how would you go about getting it if im 16?

lastly how long will battlezone be around for godd or subject to change at a latter date?

Octillery your first question and second are the same.

You get a shirt for running BZ but you must be a Prof. to do that.

If not then I don't understand your question.
