its actually thetopcut.com. it has an article about the 1st place winners of spring BRs in japan and their decks. Youd actually be surprised at the info, since there are alot of different decks out there.
 
Do they play G/G much over there? Or just Kingdra and Mag? Is Empo STILL big over there?
 
from the info on topcut, these some like the archetypes in japan:

-kingdra DP5/delcatty/ex
-gardylade w/azelf X tech/gardy DS tech
-pixie Xs
-infernape entry pack 08/typhlosion MT(only works because of stark mountain)
-magmortar SW/blissey MT
-BLS w/alakazam*
-1 BR was won by raichu MT/t-tar ex d

all in all, the 3 most popular decks that won the most BRs were gardylade varients, magmortar/blissey(STARK MOUNTAIN MAKES DECK GREAT) and kingdra DP5
 
Most gardelade variants also have cresselia lv.x tech.

to tell you the truth, not a single cress X version won a BR there. according to the info, the most popular techs were gardy DS, azelf lv.X, mewtwo lv.X, and absol ex
 
Thanks Guys, I was just Curious about what was going on there, I have noticed the Japanese are REALLY interesting players, with DIFFERENT playing styles, BUT knowing what is going on THERE will help US when Worlds comes around, I guess!
 
I'll tell you one thing - Rotom, from the starter decks (infernape/empoleon/torterra) is playable :)
 
Oh!! The NEW Empo isnt as GOOD as I thought, his 1st attack is GOOD, but his second can be BAD!!! I STILL like the DP1 better!!!
 
The new empoleon is really only good as a tech instead of a empoleon lv.x tech. Otherwise you are just better having the space blank or another DP empo. And yeah the MD rotom is really playable. Also I can't wait until kingdra comes out. Especially in my area there is usually a tornoment in between the week the new set comes out and the day the format rotates so I can use my kingdra list I made and then I have a list for the next format.

The people in Japan are really lucky. They have FG-DP5 which is probally more than half of the EX sets and more DP sets than we have.
 
Why do you like OUR way better? That takes away from SO MANY possible DECK COMBOS we can build!!! The METAGAME would not be so boring, if the sets were expanded a little, dont you think???
 
It saves me money and time and some people would even have a bigger advantage, it also doesn't overwhelm new players which keep the game alive.
