Battle Road Spring 2008 - Oregon Locations

Oh my, what excitement a cassual comment about facial hair has set off.

If it continues we might need a little wager on the '09 state championships: If Oregon has more players at its State Championship then Terry and I (and all other WA players) have to shave their facial hair. If Washington has more players at its State Championships, BDS and Raichu (and all other hairy OR players) have to shave.

The only problem with this would be it discourages WA players from going to OR states, and OR players going to WA states. Perhaps instead, winners and losers should be determined by which side has more First Place finishers between the two events instead.
 
Although 60 of us were all winners today in Portland ... The 1st & 2nd finishers were as follows.

We had a fun time here in Corvallis with BDS running the show.
Our numbers were not quite the 50 we hoped to get (too many people on vacation). Attendance: 43.

*(please note that normally Shino Bug Master would be in 5th place as he seems to always miss the cut by one, but he wasn't in attendance so for this weekend, the computer doesn't hate him today) We missed you Andrew.
 
Ah man! I wish I could be up there doing some Road Battling! (I'd settle for a road trip to watch at this point.) We need to get some serious battling going down here in SOUTHERN OREGON!!! :) I'll just keep working on it, and try to sneak my way to the north to participate in some of this stuff. Heck, I might bring a few of my all-star-in-training juniors with me!

^That's only because I was stuck in Beaverton all day on Saturday. I'm the big event for Corvallis. People would've come young and old to watch me PWN wth Sudowoodo. It would've been more like 60 to 143. Darn you beaverton!
 
Attention all DS Players:
The only Darkrai that will be leagal for DS tournaments will be the TRU Darkrai that comes in the Cherish Ball, and [R]visitor and I will disqualify anyone using a hacked Darkrai. In other words, the New Moon Island Darkrai is NOT LEGAL for DS tournaments.

Well, I'm working on it. We have a league of about 50 down here in Ashland now! We just need to keep the momentum rolling, and we'll be in business soon. And there is a league starting in Roseburg as well. It's funny, because there is an informal league going on in Medford at a Game Shop....but they don't want to enter POP....I guess it's their card shop, they can do what that want. They sure are willing to host a Pre-release though.

I am gonna try to make it to the last competition in Salem, and bring as many of my league players as I can. :) I've gotta a bunch of pretty good junior players, this would be great experiance for them.

Yay! I got second place in Portland (Loki's) and I've only been playing since January!
Plus I pulled Leafeon Lv X from a booster.
And, [R], I'll so be going to TRU for the Darkrai, so give your game to your girl and she can give it to her brother and he can give it to me and I can get you a Darkrai with the nature you want. n.n
 
Congrats! That's awesome for just 5 months! I've only been playing since last october, in the new sets. I played Pokemon like 9 years ago, but it kind of died out in this area of Oregon, it was really hard getting back into the flow with all these new pokemon. I think that it's more fun now then it was back then though.
