Poliwrath FRLG

I played a deck that consisted of that, Flareon EX, Full Flame and a tech Poliwrath UF (for RockLock match-ups). Unfortunately, once I started taking it to tournaments, people were playing a lot of Electric. :/

Runners up would be Pokemon Trader and Hitmonchan - there were the last cards I needed to completely my Base set when I first started collecting back in 98/99.

Another pokemon would be Zapdos it don't matter what card all of them remind me of it. When me and my oldest friend was whaching pokemon, it was the island of giant pokemon that team rocket ran epasode. When Zapdos flew over the top of Pikachu and the other pokemon me and him both thought that it was the therd frome of pikachu and we called it superchu lol we were so stupid as kids but it was so funny when we found out what it realy was.

Medicham Ex.....

Traded out over 100 of them for Worlds 05 and recently purchased a bulk load of EX's and got a bunch of them back......thats 4 years and several thousand miles later, I am pretty sure one of them winked at me and said "nice to be home"

Rattata Base Set- Was the first card i got and i got it from a neighbor, it got me into pokemon, which got me into competitive play!

Flareon ex & Ariados. The first deck I played at Worlds. Though I didn't perform, the matches were incredible and the experience was one I will never forget.

Sneasel from Neo Genesis. Watching my son route the competition and win 3 out of 6 total tournaments at the STS Qualifier in Houston, capturing 3 invites to the STS was a blast!!!

Now that card brings back memories. For the opposite reason though lol. That card was sooooo overplayed in my area that it got old very fast.

I think that was the one card that started making me enjoy figuring out ways to counter the more popular cards instead of going along with them.

Definitely Blastoise from Base Set. The first rare I ever pulled, I think, and a card I used for a very long time. So many great memories with that card.

Good thread!

I remember trading my dragonair I got from a pack for my brother's switch. I had no dratini, and later on got him to throw 2 arboks into the deal.
The trade itself was stupid, but the fact was, it was my first trade with my brother and I was very young, and it got me started into a long funtime hobby.

I know I've already posted on this thread, but I get nostalgic sometimes.

Mine was cubone from base set with Snivil my nephews and I played with this card in our decks (btw )If wasn't for them I wouldn't be this involed in the Pokemon TCG relam ,also My 1st Rare , Sceptile from Ruby and Sapphire with Poison breath and solarbeam. Good times, good times

until the STS qualifier, we were the ONLY people playing it in our area. after the qualifier, however, it was everywhere...

Base Set Dragonair was the first card I ever built a deck around. I was really surprised when it started winning at League. Ever since then... there really aren't many memories centered around cards, although I always remember fun combos I'd come up with when looking at old cards. But that Dragonair will always be special to me for being the focus of my first deck, and keeping me interested in the game.

My favorite TCG card ever made was Tyranitar from EX Rocket Returns.

For one, it was my first holo rare, and at the time it's Poke-Body and attacks seemed awesome to me.

Mine is definately Tangrowth SF.

I'm still really new to competitive play and my first "real" deck I've built is Tangrowth/Sceptile and it has
really taught me the amount of fun that can be had playing the game. AND TANGROWTH X IS ON THE WAY!
YAY!

Tangrowth 4 Life

I'm out

Obviously too many to list but:

Chansey Base - Steel Chansey unlimited decks were really fun
Cleffa - pure memories and great card
Steelix/Sneasel NG - both monsters at the time and something truly new
Feraligatr Riptide - Invent of the archetype as it is today
Feraligatr Major Tsunami - awesome card, very fun to play, abuse double gust

Thats it?
