Scoop up, the first card I ever took out of a pack in base set days. I looked at it, trying to understand its value in the game, why such a weird card is worth anything. given 2 years I had 3-4 scoop ups in most of my decks in apprentice and in tournament settings. i became amazed how 1 card can compeltely change the game so suickly.

Nice topic. Just remember folks, typing in "Mine was Cleffa" without any background or discussion will not be allowed.

Back on topic.

Flygon ex d gives me great memories. I watched my son in 2007 play that card in his deck like magic. He was 9/10 and he had such a fun time.

mine was cleffa. its fun to see the look on my opponents face when i start with it, but my favorite is when a kid was playing in unlimited tournament and played against a suicune, his clefa was a foot tall.

My favorite...I got 3.
First off, Kangaskhan Jungle. First foil I ever had, and I thought it was OMGTEHPWNZORS. It was cool.
Then there's Gardevoir Ex d. It was my first self-designed modified deck and it was actually pretty good, although it had issues with Flygon and Banette. Aside from those though, it could handle pretty much everything, from Metanite to Raieggs.
Finally, Salamance Ex Power Keepers. That deck was my favorite ever - hitting the opponent for 150 damage a turn. It was in my first season of playing and the deck was just so good. I'll always remember Rainbowgym's face when she put her Skitty up front, figuring I'd NEVER discard 5 cards just to KO that Skitty. Well I did and went on to win the game.

I'm sorry to anyone who put Charizard Base set as a fav. I have always liked it but then i hated it just because it was the card that got pokemon banded from my old school. So kid stole a hunderd dollars from his mom to buy one from some kid and at that time the card wasn't even worth that much. So a big to do went on about what pokemon was doing to the kids. BOOWHOO. So after that the school never aloud any type of trading card at the school and after that all other schools started to band them. So like i said sorry to anyone that has it as a fav but that one card was the last staw with anything card related there and if you were cought with any pokemon/yugioh cards they were taken and never seen again.

Probably Jungle Wigglytuff. It and its "Do The Wave" attack were the centerpiece of my longest-lived deck back when I used to play in the Unlimited days. Even after I left the game, that deck stayed together and I'd break it out to look at it once in a while for the sake of the MEM'RIES~ associated with it. Played some great games and had a lot of success (on my own level - some of you guys have been to Nats and Worlds, something that never appeared to be even a possibility back then), so I'll always have a soft spot for it.

1st Edition Neo Destiny Shining Celebi. I still remember pulling it out of a pack at the mall while my mom shopped for clothes. I didn't know what it was or what it did, but I knew it was special since the card no. was 106/105.

Dark Tyranitar TRR, the spinning tail one. Spinning Tail, and Nancy Lynch, won me my first trip to Worlds in a Houston Gym Challenge.

Dark Slowking the litter one, Rocklock, Flariados, Flycatty, were all my decks that I won tournaments with.

Still though, Slowking was the most fun to play and probably will always be my favorite deck.

I think I might make an unlimited one since this new card is coming out...

Choose up to 3 Pokemon Tool cards from your deck, show them to your opponent, and put them in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Parent/Child Khangahskan

You either get it or you don't. The amount of memories I've gotten from this game is what makes it worth the effort. In the end isn't that what's its all about?

And let's be realistic, I sure did get a lot of miles out of Ariados UF

Mine has to be Base Set Blastoise.

This is a great topic, remembering back when we started the game...when we did not understand a playset, or 4-3-4 line, or the like...when we just wanted that ONE card.

My son (then age 6) saved up for a LONG time for the $20 base set blastoise...and we found one, and he had one left...

My son game the guy his $10, and ten $1 bills, and the guy asked him if he saved his own money...he said yes sir, and the guy game him a free pack, which contained squirtle AND wartortle, which he thought was cool.

Man, that was 9 years ago.

Thanks

Vince

T-Tar from Neo Genisis I think. The 1 with Trample. Was my fav Pokemon up to date back then and I got it in my first pack and it was a First Edition to boot.....not that it matters now a days.

Then Dusknoir Promo. Do I need to explain why? I managed to proof it's potential to the public with Café Noir. Too bad there is nothing to make it faster. Healing and disruption will never go hand in hand anymore in 1 card like it will with Promo Noir.

Mine would be Base Set Mewto....

Cuz he was the first holo rare i ever got when i bought the Zap Starter Deck. I remember staying up all night with my friend splitting that deck up into decks of 30 and pretending we knew what we were doing. Still remember asking myself why Mewtwos barrier said discard a psychic to prevent cuz we thought the whole night u had to discard the energy cost to attack so we had huge energy problems the whole game every game till we finally figured out energy stayed on them when they attacked.

My EEVEE cards and my Typholsion Delta.
EEVEE was always my fav Pokemon and always loved it.
Typhsion Delta was the Card my Deck was based around when I first started the Pokemon TCG League and made it into States Top Cut with only 1 loss because of a misplay.

Unfortunately, this had to be said. Gardevoir SW.

I haven't been playing for a long time, and last season was my first, and that card handed me a Top8 finish at Nationals, got me through the Grinder and Top16 at Worlds. =)

mew ex won me a regionals and Gym challenge in 06, d Dragionite, d Metagross won me a pretty hard regionals in 07 , Empoleon MD got me top 16 at nationals last year, Turtwig DP cause hes so cute.... and Espeon Neo Discovery was my all time favorite he was in all my decks when i was 11/12 years old and i still have the very first one i pulled since then =] ahh memories <3
