I would like to attempt to set a guiness world record for the longest periord of time (most games played) playing a TCG (pokemon).

Current Record: 130 hours. (2002-2003 LOTR)

My goal: 151 Hours

Location: Worlds 2010

Would anyone like to help?

NEW GOAL:

I would like to challenge every exsisting World Champion at least once during my record. (yes chuck, you too)

I would like to challenge every pre-exsisting Nationals Champion at least once during my record attempt. (who won CDN nats in 05?)

Try to play in as many different languages as possible simulationously. ( Ill need a copy of my deck in whatever language youd want me to play in)

~Mike

PS. Any recording breaking information can be found on Guiness's website.

Also anyone who partakes in the challenge may have their name printed in the book if the record attempt is sucsuessful.

Hey Mike

I'll be in Hawaii, so put me down for a game or two. I promise not to attach 7 energies on my first turn.

Yep and the $2 an hour stands, so long as a resonable portion goes towards a good cause, like getting our Canadian players to World's. Only editted my orginal post because I noted you were trying to do this at World's rather than before.

Hey Mike

I am a long way away to support you as an opponent, but it strikes me as a great fundrasing opportunity for the "Adopt a Champ" program we ran last year. Assuming we are going to do this again this year [looks for comment from John/Cynthia/Garret]? and you wanted to set it up that way -- put me down for $2 an hour to a maximum of 100 hours.

Good luck regardless

Thanks Ugly, that sounds like a great idea.

Any money raised will go towards prizes for people who play me / any other cause?

wow is this for real? Mike PM me the link to the record and stuff please? I'll definately be up to help you out with a few games :).

Pablo, this is for realz. This is the link. I'd love to play you! Could you advertise this for me on 6pizes?

Ha, I'm down to play a few. I won't be able to donate, though.

Do you have a link for the current record, though? Would the record work even if it were multiple people playing multiple games? How would you record the information?

does this entail staying up and not sleeping? what about grooming/eating?

Depends if the record lets me sleep.

Depends if people think I look bad / I'm hungry.

Hey Gordo! Been a while....I was kicked out of the casino last night btw
Anyways, if you don't wont to go to hawaii, Ill try to be on my computer to play people online.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

haha good thing I noticed then!

If you want to play, im sure you'll find a way. By doing this, I am encouraging players to try and make it to worlds. Every cause is good.
I could start early, but thats not nesisary right now :thumb:

This sounds fun. but the only way i can go to worlds is if someone takes me or i win nationals. what does te money go for?

Shower, get a good night's rest, and eat heartily beforehand. You'll need it. If by some miracle I go to worlds this year, I'll definitely seek you out for a game or two.

You'd want to confirm with the Guinness people ahead of time what their requirements for proof will be.
Also, you'd need to get accommodation from TPCi in terms of a place to do this straight through.

Thanks, I'll work on that!

Who would be the best person at TPCi to ask, and how should I contact them?

Are you looking for like 100 hours straight? Because 100 hours played isn't that long. If I'm really testing for an event I go 4-5 hours at a time.

If its not that hard, why havn't you done it yet mr. world champion? :thumb:I mean, you are the world champion aren't you?:nonono:lol

Anyways....Ill do what ever I need to in order to get the record. If it requires 100 hours of straight playing with no break...Ill do my best at that while playing as many games at a time in as many languages as I can.
