Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Where should US Nats be?

I dont care where it is on the east coast im from boston just anywhere that isnt florida or georgia on the east coast i will be happy how bout hew hampshire give it a shot lolz

It seems like majority of you guys want to keep it in Indy, as do I. Maybe we should make some sort of petition and send it to the company to keep Nats in Indy.

I just have 2 hopes...

1. East Coast - Only 2 major events on the East Coast in 7 years is almost criminal.

2. Date - More important for me than location is the date of Nationals. The last 2 years it has come on the same weekend as Origins. Origins this year is Jun 22-26. While I hope that PUI (or whatever they're called these days) doesn't put Nationals on the same weekend as Origins, I believe that simply by my mentioning this it will be on the same weekend.

Why did you say anything!? You've doomed us to Nats in Nevada during Origins now, gahhh...

Oh, and nothing in the East Coast for at least another 5 years... :frown:

I'm definitely pro-Indianapolis as well. Lots of space in the hall, (at least) two hotels right there, close 24/7 food, a theater and mall if you have spare time...

There'll always be people that want it in a different city, but you can't complain about a lack of anything by where it was.

Of course everyone's going to say around them to make travel less far/expensive.

So, I'll just go ahead and say it should be held at the Packer Stadium in Wisconsin.

Nope, holding US Nats near me in California, anywhere on the west coast isn't a good idea. In fact, as bad as holding it on the east coast. US Nats in the middle of the country, Columbus, St Louis, Indianapolis has worked out great. It is the best, and fairest of all options.

Indianapolis was by far the best of the US Nats locations, and I would love to see us all return there soon and often. I do recognize that the 2011 location may have already been decided upon and security money placed prior to the near universal appreciation of how good Indianapolis is for Pokemon's US Nats location.

Yeah, I heard a lot of positive feedback on Indianapolis location, and man I wish I'd have been able to go. I do hope they hold it there again next year!

If there's one thing we hoosiers are good at, it's hosting travelers!
That's why they call us the crossroads of America :thumb:

Indy, period. This last nats, we had a large venue surrounded by hotels, food easily within walking distance, with more than enough cheap, accessible parking for everyone that was close enough to the middle of the country for everyone to have a fair distance (namely you east and west coasters). Arguing with any of these points is due solely to biases for wanting nats in your home towns (or close) and are really unneeded in this discussion. I live in SW Missouri, and although I enjoyed the short drive to St Louis, I can admit it SUCKED. Although Indy was a 7-8 hour drive for me, it's as close to perfect as we're going to get, and until it shows to not be an adequate venue, I think it's earned the right to host Pokemon Nats for years to come.

Personally, I'd prefer a more destination-ish location than Indy so I can make it a family vacation either before or after Nats. The highlights of Indy's tourism website don't scream family fun (except the Children's museum) for 6 + 9 year olds. Did anyone go for more than just Pokemon and was there enough to do?

While in Indianapolis, my (8 year old) son played in Juniors, I "watched" him play. My wife and (5 year old) daughter did other stuff. The city had lots to offer, they were active longer than we were at the convention center.

My wife and daughter went to the zoo which has a large butterfly exhibit and enjoyed it. On that weekend Indianapolis had a Native American festival two-three blocks from the convention center, my daughter loved it. At one point they walked in to a drum museum/expo where she pounded on many percussion instruments and had a blast, it was at the other end of the mall from the convention center.

At one point we all went to the river walk (again, walking distance from the convention center) and rented a paddle boat, it was tiring, but the kids enjoyed paddling in to the water fountains and getting wet. There are also family bicycles for rent there, saw many families doing this.

Then, the only place we drove to was the children's museum, it really is good. We travel a lot and make it a habit of going to children's museums, this was by far the biggest out of the twenty or so different ones we have been to.

There is also the NBA hall of fame that is two-three blocks away from the convention center, we were going to go there the following Monday, but alas, it is closed on Monday's.

I am sure there is more to do there, but my wife didn't want to drive and everything they went to, they walked to.

All in all, I vote for a repeat of Indianapolis.
