Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Where should US Nats be?

You need a decent convention center. So, St Louis, Indy, Atlanta, New Orleans, Baltimore, Somerst (NJ), NYC are all possibilities.

None of you know anything, you're just speculating, lol. I doubt it's moved from Indianapolis. There's no reason to move it.

Indianapolis was legit. I definitely wouldn't mind going back there, tons of space and several places to eat/shop/playtest/etc.

Were you in Indy last year Porii? Just take almost everyone else's word for it meaning, it was awesome! Way better than Dallas might be :p

No, I didn't.

I'm not doubting it's epicness, just saying I can't really afford to go there that easily.

Dallas may be worse, but it's closer to me. That's the only reason I want it here .

Yeah lol. I'd love for it to be in Chicago, but it was said in a different thread, waaaayyy too expensive :p

But yeah, if only there could be somewhere close enough for everyone to go to. Like... umm hmm... I dunno

They could have it stretch from California to New York.

Yes, a building that goes across the whole country for Nats!

Then instead of booking one flight to and from, you would need to book flights to your table each round. That's what, 8 flights, assuming you don't make top cut?

If they move from Indy, know that it's likely not by choice.

I had heard a rumor floating around that the convention center was already booked by another convention for the days 2011 Nats would fall on.

The Indiana Convention Center shows the following things from June to August

Fri Jun 10 - Jun 12 2011 University Spirit of America 600
Sat Jun 11 2011 Art Institute of Indianapolis Graduation 1,000
Tue Aug 2 - Aug 8 2011 Gen Con "The Best Four Days in Gaming" 45,000

Here's a link to the events... http://www.icclos.com/conv/convcal.asp

Gorn, that's incomplete. Here's the list I see right now...

Code:
Wed Jun 8 - Jun 9 2011 Community Transportation Assn. of America Expo 1,500
Thu Jun 9 - Jun 10 2011 ICLEF / 38th Annual Midwest Estate Tax & Business 320
Thu Jun 9 - Jun 11 2011 NBM Shows 3,000
Fri Jun 10 - Jun 12 2011 University Spirit of America 600
Sat Jun 11 2011 Art Institute of Indianapolis Graduation 1,000

Just for comparison, Origins is June 22-26 this year. For the last two years, Nats has been held opposite Origins, and has always been held on the same weekend (even if not at the same venue).

I agree with your point. I only included the window around the Origins timeframe, indicating that there is nothing currently showing as booked for Indiana Convention Center.

This is probably a GOOD sign. If there were something like a cheerleading convention or the like, it would probably be showing up. The fact that there isn't anything on the schedule probably indicates that the convention center hasn't been given the go-ahead to release the info.

And I would be that the June 22-26 dates are likely for US Nationals. A week later starts bumping up against people's 4th of July plans.
