also lol edmund. that HoPe was using half rotation and half DP-on. it was jank.

broly or anyone else who thinks its crap. why? u give no proof that its bad whatsoever. ive won brs cities and did well a states regs and nats. where is ur proof for why the deck is so bad? where is my negative anything report? srsly please show me this

Wow thanks, I made a decklist in between this post and the other and I actually had included some of these changes so I guess I caught on to the idea of it...now it's time to take a beating during testing until I learn how to play it well.
 
for people who are trying to use elekis list
DROP THE MEWTWO its pure proness and noit needed in this deck as teh fpormat changed to either stage 2s or stage 1s , dialagchomp or, luxchomp with a mewtwo counter, add better stuff in like turtwig
 
lol. dude mewtwo isnt just for sps.. 120 out of of nowehre is pretty tight. also even if they run counters honchkrow and using lookers stops that pretty well. and dont say dialga is a counter because that is sooooooooooooo easy to play around lol. thats the one i see the most anyways
 
Sableye is better than uxie 99% of the time. Ur guaranteed the Cyrus it can't be sprayed and sableye can ko spiritomb in a pinch. It just covers so much more aha
 
lol hes done pretty well so far, but it seems to me from seeing how he did at the BR's, that the new time limit is in his opponents favor if they play any consistent lines of the trainer locking vileplume lol.
 
Personally I really don't like Hope as a deck and don't think it's anything close to BDIF. The deck is essentially alot of small tech gimmicks that look to counter each deck - that's something that might work against medicore players at best. Eleki's done well with the deck, but it makes me wonder - would he have done better with a superior SP varient, why have none of the top players considered Hope as a viable deck, is the deck something that could only work against Seniors and is Oregon a competitive state?
 
Hmmm, you guys are so into bashing the deck when I will bet 5 bucks that:
A: None have you have played against the deck or with it
B: If either of those are true, you probably have not played against one of the 4 people that can make it work.
 
Not getting in to the argument about whether the deck is good or not.

It is probably the worst deck to get a list for. if you don't make it metagame-specific yourself it WILL be an appalling fail.

I'll raise you $10. I highly doubt the deck is so complicated that only four people in the entire world can play it correctly.
 
no, but i was kinda exaggerating with that part. But in a way, it's true, only like 4 people have tried it.

If I recall correctly, I sat next to you at NV states last season when you were playing HoPe -- and you did top cut, right?

Seems not only seniors can do well with the deck people :thumb:
 
If people stopped calling it 'HoPe'and just thought of it as an SP Toolbox with Shuppet tech, then there wouldn't be any of this hype/mystique/stupidity that seems to surround the deck.

Where did I say or imply I hated the deck? In fact I outright stated I wasn't giving an opinion on that.

I said two things . . .

1. You need a metagame-specific list if you want it to work

and

2. There wouldn't be so many fallacies about it if it had a descriptive name.

Read. Understand. Post.
