^Gardy was good but not BDIF. Luxchomp won nats, and 2 divisions in worlds while taking most places in T16.

Luxchomp won nats because it was simply the most played. Therefore it had the most
probably at success. Worlds was a more closed tournament so there was alot more Gardy
there but still not as much Luxchomp. Once again i'm not gonna discredit the players that
won but if you had actually played Luxchomp vs Gardy, LC would lose. I will also add that
Gardy wasn't played as much in Seniors and Juniors therefore it didn't do well. Also i'm not
saying that the Japanese player only got to the Finals in Master's was luck. I'm sayin that
he got Lucky in his final match and that's why he won.

lol im in masters now and its working just fine... my friend won a BR already and i hadn't played a game since nats and still went 4-2.

also ill admit HoPe had a bad matchup against gardy, however it had an AMAZING luxchomp matchup (4-0 nats and basically x-0 cities/brs). also a great sablock matchup and a practically autowin pluff. last format AMU lock and plox/judge hurt it (only when in that combo) this format, gardy is gone. AMU is gone. HoPe can easily beat gengplume. heck i started with dragonite fb and had to manually retreat for 3 turns and still only lost because of the new time rule.

dont knock something until you try it. practically EVERY person who had the balls to play HoPe did well with it. it was just severly underplayed thats all

So he was the big fish in the small pond in oregon until amelia clobbered him with something decent.

oh and excuse me i never lost to amelia at states. i went 7-0 and then 8-0 beating gyara and then lost on time by 1 prize due to my opponent topdecking uxie with 0 cards in hand. dont just make things up man

It was an assumption, not a statement. Sorry. Just some old fashioned WA/OR ribbing.

And the japanese player was lucky, the last two topdecks were just perfect for him, anything else and we'd be calling Mike Pramawat the World Champion.

AS Dragonclyne said, it takes more than luck for somebody to go sll the way to win worlds. Maybe he lucksacked in T2, but did he do that in every game in the swiss where in the end he is 12-0. I dont't think so. And whoa, back on topic so the thread doesnt get locked, HoPe is still a good deck.

yeah lol howd it get to T2 at worlds? the guy had some luck in T2 but he went 11-0 before this round so im guessing luck was on his side? anyways i think thats for another thread lol

No one is arguing that Blitzer. We both simply stated that he got Lucky in his Final
Match. Oh, and to be on topic EpOh is not a good deck.

Broly you obviously haven't played somone who knows what there doing with HoPe.

it's a great deck, and really hard to play.

Eleki is a Master now so we will see how it goes in masters..
i bet you will be proven wrong..

How much are we talking here Rogue? Hmm, i'd like to see the deck in action
against some good well know players and see how it does.

HoPe can be the bdif if played correctly. I know eleki is probably the best at playing it and I cant wait to see how he does in masters with it.
It is amazingly hard to play. I would bet that some of the top players in the world would have a hard time getting used to it.

I deny the fact that eleki is the best hope player

^Lol

I won't run hope because it looks hard, but what's with all the Eleki hate? (Granted I completely destroyed him and Simon's Sableye deck the first time I ever played it after being gone for a year and a half :p)

I hate to be the white knight 14 yr old here, but Eleki could absolutely run through any deck you throw at him. He is a great player, and his record shows. It's a given that he is a wonderful deck builder, but what ever.

(He's the only guy I've ever met that can play an Unown deck perfectly.)
