Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

'Kay Good Luck.. (Kyogre/Groudon Legend)

I can tell from my experience that this deck is completely funny and effective at the same time!
when KGL was first released I said "wowwww, blue crocodile, i found your partner!" and it really worked... however in my country there are lots of SF gengar decks that are a bit faster than kgl, but still awesome to flip over their toyp 5 cards and laugh at my opponents face when gengar became eventually discarded :p

small suggestion, why not run 1 rainbow energy? in a pinch it would allow you to attack with sableye or azelf, and if machamp is teched in then it would work for that as well. the only down side i see in it is that i couldn't be attached with rain dance or found by fisherman, but you have plenty of other cards that could find it so i doubt that would be an issue.

Juxtapoz: well rainbow would reduce sableyes hp by 10 so it generally wouldn't work anyways. Mate for azelf but that's such a punch situation. Id ur running machamp ten go for it

Chatot G is a silly card to run in this deck. You already discard the top 5 cards with your attack, why rearrange those cards when it's discarded anyway?

Love the article by the way. A nice rogue deck to see between Luxchomp, Vilegar and Gyarados.

Very interesting deck, has me intrigued, will have to try it out sometime.

Really though, I have to ask, is 4 Twins truly neccesary? it seems liek you will take at least a couple prizes with spread damage.

Also, how is your matchup with Lostgar variants, it seems that they just won't take any prizes and LW win.

oh, on sableye i was talking soley for donking. azelf only if it is 1-1 or some ridiculousness like that....good to be prepared.

The decklist seems like it needs chatot g to rearrange the top of their deck, but I am not a critic

Why? You only get to rearrange the Top 4 while you already discard the top 5 cards of their deck. Unless you run a mini sablelock in this... Which is pretty weird and abnormal.

I think this deck needs a 2-1-2 Feraligatr, even though it can be sniped by Garchomps and stuff. It really helps with the Gengar match ups because your Rare Candy will be useless.

Edit: Oops, forgot about that VileGar match up. Though one question, how does this do against Machamp/Vileplume?

It definitely is. Because what the deck aims to do is sack a pokemon or two and then use impersonate to use twins for 3 or 4 turns to get everything you need for the match, like warp, seeker, junk arm, ssu etc.

Eleki my friend, you have worked magic again. This deck looks mad fun and pretty good.

Do you have any results on how you did with it??

So...You think you're going to start Sabeleye, which you only run 3 of, and your one rainbow, against a basic with only 40 HP?

4 twins is needed. You use all 4 in the first 2 turns after a pokemon is killed. Sometimes 5 with vs seeker. Yes i made top 8.

Lostgar isn't that bad. If you get out kgl you win. They can't ever kill you and you win in about 5-6 turns. Basically u need to have smeargle or azelf and bebes and stuff like that to get it out in one turn.

To people talking about against vilegar: you don't have to get out gatr in that match up. You just use kgl and deck them/ko plume in bench. After you lookers yourself and draw one they can hit 30 per turn. So there's no need to bring it back to your hand each turn and play it with gatr.

Also against machamp/plume it pretty much gg if you don't play croconaw. If u expect vilechamp play a croconaw. I may cen have to play one as people are talking about it here. But yea it's a terrible matchup.. Go about it the same way u play regular machamp. Just try to get tons of things set up

I really like this article. KGL is a great deck. Have you considered regice as a vilegar counter? You already run warp points and warp energies. It seems like a good play if you didn't want to keep your hand that low.

you never really know...and its not like it would be taking up space in the deck since it can be just as easily used as water as it can dark, fighting, or psychic...

Waitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwait..........................wait. Whos forgetting Legend Box???

I heart Feraligatr Prime

Elakid,
I also use Feralitagtr but in a different deck, Blastiose:water:. I would like to post a list on it but I don't know how.
I also had the idea of Kyougre and groudon Legend but I could never make it work :frown:. I like the list
