So, Mewtwo EX.

It's got potential. Unlike Zekrom and Reshiram, it doesn't really have any particularly viable energy acceleration, but it does hit hard and can abuse Eviolite well. Jirachi-Shaymin could be used for later game if you feel lucky, I suppose. Quite honestly disappointed though, as Mewtwo rarely has a chance to shine, and somehow I feel this will be no exception.

Amt has the right of it. This is just Lucky Stadium.

Well for the first attack you can use emboar....

The first attack does 20 for each energy on all active Pokemon. Emboar allows all of the :fire: energy in your hand played on your Pokemon, maybe even the active. See where this is going?

But, against certain pokemon, you have to pile a lot of energy to make Mewtwo actually effective in that respect. The first attack isn't bad, but, I'm thinking that second attack will be even better.

Which is a colossal waste of energy, really. And when it gets knocked out, you'll be losing a lot.

Piling tons of energy is kind of the point. 170 HP, it's not going down in a hurry, so it is reasonable to stack that many energy on it using Emboar or some other acceleration. Put enough on and it won't matter if they have no energy on them and Super Scoop Up/Switch+Seeker can result in a full recovery with very little time taken...

Crap, I'm theorymoning.

Edit: Wow, I just got ninja'd three times in a row.

This news just made my day! EXs are officially going to return to the game, having the same characteristics just like their past ancestors: High HP, hard-hitting attacks, and the 2 prize card rule. Mewtwo EX looks really good too for the first known new age Pokemon EX. 170 HP is really good, especially when using Defender or Eviolite on him, which allows him to have HP like Wailord. As an attacker, he's also pretty good. The first attack is quite cool. Put a DCE on it, and if the opponent has like 2 energy on the defending, he can hit for 80, so that's not bad. The 120 attack is also pretty good too. At the rate that this is going, it seems like Mewtwo EX may see some competitive light.

Man, I just can't wait to hear about Kyurem EX. Hopefully, it'll also be good. I also hope that both legendary and normal Pokemon can also be EXs.

way OP im going to win states again only with IT:lol:
edit: also it's just what we need in the format to counter catcher

Mewtwo EX, Jirachi, Shaymin, Eviolite, rocky helmet (on the bench-sitters to punish catcher)

This ought to be fun.
