Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Werewolf XVIII: Dimensional Clash: Wolves/Outlaws Win!

Just wanted to let you guys know that I will be able to post near-nothing from the 21st to the 2nd due to a cities, a plane flight, a road trip, Christmas, another road trip, another cities, the plane flight back, and New Years (in that order).

Just so you guys know, I'll have limited posting abilities for the next three days. I should be able to get back on track by Friday, though.
Posted with mobile style....

I will be gone from December 20 to 22 on a trip, and will be busy the two days before that getting ready for said trip. In other words, my posting will be more sporadic than usual tomorrow and Wednesday, then nonexistent Thursday to Saturday. I do not know what my family has planned for New Year's, but I'll deal with that after Christmas.

Yes, this is still going on. Roles need to be processed and the update needs to be written. Have some patience, especially considering what time of year this is.

A shadow moves quickly by you, his footsteps quiet. You panic, dodging to one side in a much more clumsy fashion. Moonlight reflects off something he carries. It's a deadly weapon of some kind, no doubt. A knife? A sword? Something you've never even seen before? No reason to stick around and find out. In the direction he was running, someone screams in agony. Hoping fervently they aren't an ally of yours, you move on, trying to find somewhere safe to hide for the night.

Finally, you come across someplace inconspicuous to get some sleep. From here, you can see someone climbing one of the castle towers, moving awkwardly. After a few moments, you realize it's because he's carrying someone else's body with him, as he ties the other figure to the battlements.

-----

The sun is shining brilliantly, in stark contrast to the situation. Apparently you did manage to get a bit of sleep. Wasting no time, you head to the area where everyone had gathered earlier. Someone wordlessly points to the castle wall, where a few sharp-eyed individuals can see Vegitalian, gagged and tied up, but struggling to free himself. No one knows a way up to retrieve him, however, so it's soon decided to leave him there for the time being. Kirbyking is unaccounted for, as well. Most disturbing, though, is the presence of Kayle's dead body.

He was:
You are Foremole Diggum, the gender confused mole. Chief of the mole team at Redwall Abby, you have strong claws and a sharp mind, even if your mole logic confuses people at times. As well as your gender. You dug a hole, just for the fun of having earth between your claws, and you settled down for a nap when the world exploded around you. You thought it was a cave-in, but what sort of cave-in transports you to a courtyard? Dark Forest is supposed to be, well, a forest! Otherwise the name of it would be Dark Castle, right? The earth is good around you, you can feel it. There is treasure to be found! But with all the scary creatures around you, you are going to need some backup...

Mining (Passive): Every day on the update, a bulletin board will be included. On which you will have posted a flier requesting services that anyone may pick up. If that player accepts, you will be shielded from all night roles and randomly dig up 2 items. The player who helped you gets to choose their item first, and you will be given the remaining item. If the player who picks up the flier refuses, you may not use your role. They will not learn your identity and you will not learn theirs.

Win Condition: Town Wins

A few items identified as belonging to Jellyfisher were also found, covered with blood, but you were unable to locate his corpse.

Kirbyking and Vegitalian will be unable to post during this phase.

Begin Day 2. Day 2 ends December 28, 11:55 PM (EST).

Contrary to what I posted before I WILL have consistent internet

Issues I would like addressed today:

-Vegitilian is alive, but tied up, he can't argue, so I would like to put forth that it would be unfair to accuse him of anything since he cannot argue back. As such, I hold my previous stand that he is not suspicious for the time being and while he may be discussed while addressing others I will not vote for, or otherwise accuse him of anything out of fairness.
-KirbyKing is unaccounted for, but I have no idea why. It strikes me as odd for someone to have targeted him having drawn so little attention to himself, but since we do not know the nature of his disappearance (whether it is good or bad in nature) we can do little but speculate
-Is Jellyfisher dead? The update is vague about this, bloody items and no corpse?
-Kayle’s corpse. Why was he targeted? Any ideas?
-I would also like to put forth that as a starting point we should continue our conversation regarding Vablakes whom I STILL believe is suspicious but won’t vote for just yet because we’ve barely started this day.

Thoughts? Comments? Accusations (toward me or otherwise)?

I have a few thoughts on the update and on some of the things you brought up. However, I'm quite sick at the moment, so I'll post them in the morning when my head hopefully isn't so fuzzy.

Also, I'm done with finals, so I should be able to spend more time on the game now.

Whoa, whoa, whoa... the Jellyfisher thing is confusing me. It seems as if he's dead, or was a killer. Or maybe, considering all the strange things added to this game, a new mechanic was added, and he's "kidnapped" or something. Either way, that update really confused me. :/

The first post has been updated to show that Jellyfisher did die, we just don't know his role/alignment.

Two days before my trip, and I'm sick. This is not my week.

I remember Kayle was plenty active, and jellyfisher slightly less so. I'm a bit confused about the silences, though - vegitalian posted quite a bit, but kirbyking posted all of once during D1, and my brain is refusing to parse it.

I'd like to continue, but I'm having problems sitting up. Hopefully, I'll feel better tomorrow night.

scorri thinks that there are two possibilities for the silencing of vegitalian. scorri thinks that either the mafia want to frame the people that vegitalian was suspicious of or that they are the people that vegitalian was suspicious of. scorri thinks that it is more likely the first unless the mafia is not thinking.

Reading through this speculation is going to make it hard for me to concentrate but I'll try my best. I just hope we don't spend this day talking about only that.

Welcome Levity! I hope that you had enough time to sift through Day 1. I would like to know your general impressions of the happenings if you would be so kind.

I know it has been a while, but I do recall Vablakes looking very scummish toward the end of the day which we didn't get to resolve properly. I would like to see a lot more from him this week to solidify my read on him.

Regarding the events, I think it is fair enough to say that Vegi being silenced is a decent indicator that he was indeed innocent and that there is something that he was onto that someone didn't want to get out there today. I will have to re-read through his posts to get a better idea of what that could be.

The most important issue I would like to get resolved at the moment is with CrimsonSky. He completely blew off his attack on me with some cryptic message and bs to legitimate and valid questions.

the answer is
0 > -1

So, CrimsonSky, I have a few questions that need answering.

1) Where have you attempted to find out my true alignment?
2) Do you agree or disagree with my post that you claim "discredits" you in which I explained in greater detail HERE? Why or why-not?
3) Why do you consider me more scummy than Absol or Vegitalian?
4) Because your main initial vote on me (which hasn't moved) was due to me wanting to get out of RVS with information that you couldn't see, I would like you to present a case as to why staying in RVS is more beneficial to the town than leaving it. You already mentioned that scum can slip in RVS, but I want to hear specific examples, because I don't buy scum slipping while making a random vote.

While we are here, lets look at some real commonality. In every single one of your posts, regardless of the content I am referenced at least once, directly or indirectly. Why is that?
you yourself answered this question
2
Being zero is better than being negative
3
your reactions are better to look at than Vegi and ABsol who has a lot of votes already
4
The reason changed from being getting out of RVS vote to wanting to see your reactions vote, which have been very interesting.

^This is the post to which I failed to see a proper response. 0> -1? How does that mean anything?

How does you referencing me in each of your posts find out my alignment? All I see from it is you fixating.

Don't understand your #2 answer....

You seem to be looking at my reactions, yet fail to provide any evidence? Please enlighten us as to my reactions and what about them have been interesting.

Good morning,

Please take a moment to look at the first post:
http://pokegym.net/forums/showpost.php?p=2359145&postcount=1
If you look at the list of players, you'll notice that 4 players are dead. There is a guide below the list which tells us what the alignments of the dead players are.

Kayle - was killed last night. He was a townie.

Jellyfisher - was also killed last night. His highlight color is different from any in the guide. It seems we're purposely not supposed to know his alignment/role. If you read thebank's role here:
http://pokegym.net/forums/showpost.php?p=2365620&postcount=790
You can get an idea of the sort of way that might happen. We don't know exactly what's going on with Jellyfisher, but he's dead right now at least. There's no guarantee he's coming back (as would be the case with thebank's role), but we might be able to better understand this if whoever killed him dies.

The Bank - was modkilled day 1. He was part of "Enforcers". Judging by the dead player alignment guide, Enforcers are their own faction. Not townie, indy, or wolves. Also note from his role, that they can speak to each other.

Butter nut ninja - was also killed day 1. He was "Giratina". His win condition was "Pokemon win". This is highlighted in the first post as an "independent" alignment win condition.

Wait Diaz, you say... Pokemon are independent? That means..? Yes it does.

Take a look at Vablake's character reveal from yesterday.
http://pokegym.net/forums/showpost.php?p=2365457&postcount=747
Ouch. This was before he knew the the "pokemon" win condition would be outed as independent. Vablakes, give me good concise argument as to why I shouldn't vote for you, or my vote is heading your way.

The vegitalian being silenced is a bit of a WIFOM situation, since he was attacking you the other day. Therefore, it's possible he was roleblocked by someone who wishes to frame you. OR, you (or a possible partner, if one exists) knowing that everyone would think that it's someone trying to frame you, could have blocked him since either way, you won't take the blame for it. While this is something I think is worth consideration, since I don't want to clear him of being the one to do it, I don't think we can pass any sort of judgement on him either, since it's too easy for it to go either way.

No particular thoughts on KirbyKing, other than perhaps low lying players were being targeted in hopes of hitting a power role that was trying to lie under the radar, either with good or bad intentions.

Jellyfisher is dead, look at the front page. It seems we have someone/something that is able to keep role reveal upon death. I'm not sure we can draw any conclusions from the alignment of the killer yet.

My thoughts on why Kayle was targeted: He wasn't going to receive priest protection. You, Vegi, and perhaps Diaz were fairly high profile the other day, and I would suspect draw night attention to your selves. Kayle was probably the "safe" kill. There may be other reasons, but that's my best guess for now.

I agree, Vablakes is suspicious. However, I find you a bit overeager to put the spotlight back on him so quickly, especially after the night events seem to be favorable for you. I won't draw any conclusions yet, since it's possible you just got caught in less than ideal situation, and someone is trying to use it against you to make you look bad. However, I will be keeping you on my radar.

scorri thinks that there are two possibilities for the silencing of vegitalian. scorri thinks that either the mafia want to frame the people that vegitalian was suspicious of or that they are the people that vegitalian was suspicious of. scorri thinks that it is more likely the first unless the mafia is not thinking.

As I said in my above post, I really could go either way because of the WIOFM situation which it creates. You just demonstrated that the people Vegi was suspicious of COULD block him, because it would be seemingly stupid for them to block the guy who was suspicious of them, because it would draw attention to them. However, because it's a "stupid" move, they obviously wouldn't do it, so they actually can do it if they want. It can go either way, and there's no way to tell.

Butter nut ninja - was also killed day 1. He was "Giratina". His win condition was "Pokemon win". This is highlighted in the first post as an "independent" alignment win condition.

Excellent find Diaz! I'm not sure if we can assume that ALL pokemon have the same win condition, but I would be willing to bet that at the very least, the legendaries probably do. Even then, it's possible that only the "unfriendly" pokemon (Mewtwo, Giratina, Gengar, etc...) I'm also not sure they quite belong as an independant, as much as a 3rd party which functions as it's own "town". I would like to avoid drawing too many conclusions about pokemon though before we see more of them.

Had this written up when the Night Began:
TheBank/Ultimatedra’s Role said:
You are Brome the Healer, a mouse of many talents. You were a slave of Badrang the Tyrant's, until you escaped with some other slaves. However, war and violence creates a pit in your stomach, and you are not a warrior by any means. Instead, your efforts have been devoted to healing, and they have not been wasted. After the battle with Badrang, you found yourself transported to a strange world, where an odd creature requested your help. He summoned you here for your healing capabilities, there has been an attack from an evil foe. Should you help him and emerge victorious, you shall go home. You have agreed, and hope the coming slaughter you know will happen ends soon.

Replay (Active/Passive): 1. Once during the night, you may choose one player who has a different alignment than you. If that player dies that night or during the next game day, you will learn that player's role, their role will not be publicly revealed and they will be returned to the game after one night. Once you have used this role successfully, you may not use it again.
2. Unless three players with the win condition "Enforcers win" have died, your votes will not count (you may vote, but it will not affect the votes needed to lynch).

You are an Enforcer with (some people). You may communicate with each other through PM, IM, email, Skype, etc. at any time during the night phase.

Win Condition: Enforcers Win
What We Learned:
  • Redwall characters are present in this game (which is pretty awesome).
  • The “Enforcers” seem to be a third-party type group with communication only during the Night. Also, from the underlined portion of the role, I think it is safe to assume that there are at least 3 other “Enforcer” win condition roles out there. Just something to keep in the back of our minds as we go further into this Game.

You are Giratina, long revered as the keeper of the underworld. You were gazing into the realm of the living, the place from which you were banished, when a strange power came to apprehend you. You struggled and fought, but you had no chance. Now you have been deposited in the land of living creatures, but Arceus has not sent you back to whence you came. Maybe this is no longer your universe? Either way, there will be dead, and where there are dead, you have power. You cannot truly be killed, you already are dead. How can the lord of the underworld die, after all?

Kamikaze (Active): During the night, you may choose one player. That player will be killed, and you will be killed.

Win Condition: Pokemon Win
What We Learned:
  • On the first page, Giratina has been listed as an Independent, which would imply that a “Pokemon Win” win condition is not exactly Town allied. He was basically just a one-time vigilante. In other words, we should not just accept someone as Town just because they claim to be a Pokemon.

Adding in Day Start Update information:

Win Condition: Town Wins
What We Learned:
  • Not all Redwall characters are “Enforcers”, and some can be Town. This, in turn, means we could have a wolf as a Redwall character as well.

Agreed. It really could have been anyone who blocked Vegi.

Ouch. This was before he knew the the "pokemon" win condition would be outed as independent. Vablakes, give me good concise argument as to why I shouldn't vote for you, or my vote is heading your way.

I deleted the other parts of this quote that don't involve me, just to shorten it a bit. You can check, I didn't alter anything else.

First of all, I would like to point out the major differences between Latias and Giratina. Giratina is a destructive Pokemon. So destructive, in fact, that humans banned him to the distortion world. He hates humans because of this, so it would make sense that he doesn't have the town Win Condtion like mine. Latias, however, is the protector of Alto Mare along with Latios. Latias protects humans. Giratina tries to hurt them. There is a major difference.

Secondly, saying that all Pokemon have the same win condition is like saying that if we had a Darth Vader and a Luke Skywalker that they would have the same win condition.

And, why do you only bring up the fact that I'm a Pokemon? Look at this, I'm not the only one who revealed Pokemon:

Hey, look at this! A post from PokemonPlayer101!

Alright, about the name-claim Gareth thing: the game's called "Dimensional Clash" for a reason. I'm a Pokemon. :/

Not sure who to vote for. Vablakes has changed his attitude completely, jpulice has kind of slinked away, yet the day ends tomorrow. Unfortunately I won't be able to be too active tomorrow, so I'm not sure what to do here...

I think I'm going to keep my vote on Vegitalian. We need 23 votes for a lynch, and Vegi has the most atm. I'll try my best to keep up via my 3DS or my mom's phone (no cell phone for me... :frown: ), so if a vote change is needed, hopefully I'll be able to make that change. Not makin' any promises, though.

Bolded the important part. I'm just wondering why you would go after me and not PP101. The only difference between the two Pokemon reveals is that I stated that wolves can't kill me under certain conditions.

I would assume people are going after you and not pp101, because you are currently under suspicion, and people are looking back over your posts. Most people probably forgot pp101 said that, because they're busying trying to determine what we should do with you.

I don't have time to respond in full to your post now, but you do bring up some valid points, which I was already considering.

2 things I got right now.

There has to be at least 4 enforcer roles, but probably closer to 6 if they can only have their vote count after 3 have died. I don't necessarily know if all the enforcers would have the same "no vote count" role though. They might each have a role that kicks in once some members die. We have to see how voting goes today to see if anyone's vote doesn't end up counting. They've also been able to talk now for 1 night.

@vablakes, both you and (now) PP101 are suspicious. We have nothing else to go on right now other than you and PP101 are Pokemon and we know there is a "Pokemon wins" win condition. If there were a Luke and Vader in the game along with a "Star Wars wins" win condition then we would be suspicious of that too.
