Does that mean Taylor deserves a nod because she took Metanite and beat Destiny 2 straight at regionals?

I vote James...not only is he a Great player but he is a GREAT ambassador for the game. I would be happy to have him representing us at Worlds. Really nice kid!!!:thumb:

thanx a lot Prof Clay, and yea when we were playing in the hotel l8er that night on sunday i think.......
we were playing against Daniel Rattray and she beat him with metanite and daniel was using INFERNAPE, now i could be wrong from this but a lot of people say infernape is posed to POWN metanite.......she is a great player....i hope i dont play ANY of them at nats, cuz i would love to see all of us playing in worlds next to eachother, or in front of eachother in the finals :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Its a conspiracy that James Flint is not going. He is without question the greatest player or his time in his age group. Anybody willing to contest that will get severely owned not only by me but by ANYBODY else that has ever seen this kid play. He makes tons of new decks that always have great thinking behind them and consistantly wins with them. He purposely plays extremely difficult decks to challenge himself into winning only by outplaying his opponent, instead of luck.

He got majorly wronged by someone that PUI has "influence" over, it should be considered their fault if he doesnt get his trip. It was a judges error that he was placed in the wrong age group, it really was a stupid error. The judge responsible should have used common sense. Its clear that hes not elderly and if they were a legitimate judge they would know who he is, because in that area hes a freakin beast.

There is no question that he is the best player not to make worlds, because in reality he has the best shot of winning worlds. Regardless of which area you think is the best, nobody has owned their area like he has and depending on your opinion his area is in the top 2 to play in. If James Flint grinds in, which he will do if he goes, he will end up winning worlds. He is in the wrong age group. He like the Bobby Fischer of the Senior Division, way ahead of his time.

I believe that James is a great player, but I have to put on my Bobby fanboy hat here and point out that being a top-tier player in this game (which I'm sure James is) is about a lot more than just being able to outplay your opponent. It is about deck building/lists, deck choice/timing, endurance, focus, stress managment, and so on.

And when you add all of that together, and look at the results over the past 2 and 1/2 seasons, I don't think any senior matches Bobby. He has two consecutive T-10 placing at worlds, $10,000 in the bank, and more trophies and medals than he knows what to do with.

**edit** Oh yeah, and I forgot about his NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP...

And there are a lot of people in the TOUGHEST metagame in the world who are going to be stressing when they have to face him in Masters next year.
I'm sure the same is true for James, so the debate over who is "better" is really academic. I think, however, that we'd all like to see these two seniors battle it out in the finals.

Finally I get to post!!! Anyway my personal opinion on this issue is that if there were any three individuals that I felt who deserve to seriously go to worlds this year would be the following
1) James F. 2) Angela W. 3) Kyle (Pooka)

This players have displayed such a great deal of sportsmanship and have worked so hard to get to where they are today. James and Angela have both experienced such horrible incidents that may have had caused them to lose their chance to enter into this amazing tournament and I cannot really understand why certain individuals take up the responsiblity and work on something to make amends. These incidents were completely out of their control because players can only do so much until the judges step in. Angela's brother personally told me what had happened and I think that in her case, the judges should have handled it better.

It disappoints me when players such as James and Angela have to suffer because of error, its a serious issue and I would hope that the people involved would please discuss it with the other party, at least trying to show that they care!!

How does a best of 3 match, when time is called during game 2, with the oppo. winning game 1, become such a "horrible" incident??? I understand her brother TOLD you something.....her brother wasn't the player involved, nor does he have ALL the facts. Kthxbye

so like i said no dis to Bobby cuz he is a AWESOME guy and nothing short of it but, experience is where he gets me

No dis to you, either!

It's like comparing apples to oranges. In our metagame, it's pretty suicide t take chances on new decks, because there are 8-10 seniors who are really quality players. Not that your field is weak, I know it's not, and I'm not trying to take away from your deck building. It's just a lot more difficult to dominate here, so instead of working on new decks, we have a tendnacy to focus on strengthening archtypes.

Again, no dis intended, I am the big brother, it's my job ;-)

Thats where you guys are VERY VERY strong, beasting up these archetypes.....R-gon was a VERY kool and interesting deck imo....

and thas kool to meet the big bro,
im james btw if u havent heard.....:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

If he was able to go to a State and maybe 1 more City, I can guarantee Chad Harris would have 2000+ points and a trip to worlds the way he played this year.

7 tourneys, 4 wins, one 3-0 drop, 1 2nd, 1 t4(?)

There's my pick.

i dont know if i have the heart to say any master players over POOKA......that guy is AMAZING !!!!!

jus a all around great classy dude.........gl next year man:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

by far thats my masters vote :pokeball:

First off I wanna say james that hurts that u wouldn’t mention me. But pooka is a awsom player. No dis attended. But its not about that its about james. I have no idea were to start. James is like a brother to me. I take credit to how good he is because of all the testing we do. (And james if u don’t like it tough ill beat u any day of the week.) But anyways we both drove down to niles with our buddie Justin who we also share cards with. We get there register and all that good stuff. And then the battler road started.

First round james faced a masters player of course and u know its ok we asked if it was age separated witch it was not. So we figured o well it could have happened to anyone. Well then round 2 comes and same thing 15+ player. Round 3, round 4 ok now that’s were it really started to suck. He plaid all masters. There was even a 7 year old who played a master player. So we didn’t think a thing about it. But what makes this really bad is knowing now that he missed getting a trip by 15.20 points.

Now if I know the points system like I think I do. Say james had to face jeff v. like they would have for 1st james was at about 1981 for points and from what I was told from jeff’s brother he was at about 1950. Only a 30 point difference. So if james would have won witch no offense to jeff but james would have won that alone would have game him about 15 points just in that one game. And going undefeated he would have gaind about 25 to 40 or so points. Possibly about 30 35 for a better guess. If he was to gain that many points he would have won the trip. Now im not blaming the judge for this mis hap but the venue.

Pastimes has never cared about pokemon. Nor never will. Its not eric’s fault but pastimes. I know james better that any other pokemon player out there we play test together and make rogue decks. I look at all the deck list’s he writes out. And I see the #’s and his 9 does not what so ever look like a 3. If pastimes would have been watching anything they would have seen there was no one in the room over 40 even 30. I mean besides like 1 parent that wasn’t even there for the whole event. So its them keeping him out from worlds with a invite………. Or is it.?

Well at nats me and james when up to pete to try to talk the issue out. I mean pete was nice shook James’s hand and all that but said there was nothing he could do. What confuses me is how can the HEAD of pokemon not do anything??? It just doesn’t make sense to me. Put ur self in James’s position what would u think if the head of pokemon told u there was nothing they could do. What would u think. wouldn’t u be confused or upset if not both.

Then top 32 of nats when he forgot his prizes isn’t there judges there watching why didn’t a judge notice and say anything to james I mean whats up with that. There were so many things ive heard that happened at nats that shouldn’t have. Simple mistakes that anyone knows. But that’s something else. Im not just writing this for james I mean he is the main reason why I am writing this but I want everyone to think what if it was u this happened to. What would u think or do? I hope the people at pui read this. And I hope that something could be done. There still is time. And pete if u do read this u as the head of pui we (james) is intrusting you to do something about this. There has to be something how there honestly is nothing to be done is just not good enough for me.

James ur a good person a good player, and the best friend anyone could ask for and I have ur back no matter what.

James is the one who deserves the trip more than anyone!
