I would question whether a major game play error is appropriate here. The deck is still random, the cut produced another random deck, no more likely to favor one player over another. Its an error, but I don't see how the game state is broken at all here.

Does Tyrantrum Ex with special energy on it ignore Assault Vest's damage reduction due to its ability or is the damage reduced? I'm thinking it does due to the way G-Booster ignored Silver Mirror, but there are differences in Trex scenario that may make a difference here.

When Mewtwo attacks with Photon Wave, which reduces damage by 30 next turn and Seismitoad Ex with Muscle Band plays Quaking Punch, does QP do zero or 20? I seem to recall something about when base damage is reduced to zero, MB cannot add, but I'm not sure about the order of the damage...

Not so sure about this ruling. There is language used on several cards along the lines of "Do xxx. If you do, then ...." This just says do this, THEN do that. As long as one of the actions is possible, the game state is affected by the play of the card and the play is legal. I look forward...

This was kind of the crux of my inquiry. Are people so overwhelmed with Standard that they have no creative energy for Extended? When you consider some of the highly creative decks we've seen in Cities, it would be disappointing if all Extended meant was putting a few Dark Patches in Yveltal.

Who has actually run a league challenge in extended? How was attendance? What kind of decks showed up? What sort of decks did well?

I went to league and the LL taught me. What helped the most was internet articles and deck lists so I could learn deck construction. Hardest was understanding the metagame and how a deck could be good sometimes and at other times was bad for nothing that has to do with the deck itself.

And how often is this an issue that we need more nonsense rules for it? If you are the one that is color-blind and you run into this all the time, I apologize, but still how many opponents would not just switch to whatever you needed at first mention?
