The TCG set name's prefixes. Neo, Platinum, XY, etc. --- Come to think of it I really hope that this gives us the fresh layout change that XY didn't. The lack of that and any real new SR variants could have been held back for the fairly quick introduction of OR/AS.

I'd be surprised if they changed from the name of the main games of the generation so soon.

If the first few really are awful, then the next bunch will be pretty attention grabbing. There's no way the big new deal for the franchise is just going to be swept under the rug.

I can see them ending on #100, which would be kind of annoying as it would be a waste of a page.

That Bulbapedia page just confuses me of the numbering even more. Is it supposed to be like this: Japanese: Both Girl and Boy share their numbering, but each deck has a few exclusive cards so you need both to complete it English: Each deck is its own numbering set

They'll probably be done not long down the road. XY didn't really leave the TCG much in the way of legendaries.

If you're putting all the promos together though, and they are indeed the missing 8, you'll have three on one page and five on the other.

Oh wow, they're keeping the Shiny Collection holographics. I was sure they would just use the current reverse style or the pre-EP one.

The discussion is kind of outdated with the recent reveals, but they ended up not being placeholders after all Still kind of silly that they pegged this to retailers as XY products though.
